5.0 out of 5 stars It’s a solid EBike from a notable brand with support
I researched ebikes for a week or so before settling on Jasion. I wanted to make sure the company i chose had customer service and a good reputation as there are a lot of no name bikes out there and if you meed support there is no one to contact. That being said, we chose the old model retrovolt for our teen boys because we liked the styling of the bike. When the item arrived the one of the seats was damaged in packing, the customer service sent me a new seat immediately after contacting them with pix. No complaints there. As far as the performance, it’s everything they say it is. You can get it up to 30 mph pretty quickly. It’s fun to ride. The battery lasts a long time. It’s functional if you add a basket to it.It’s easy to put together and I’m not mechanically inclined. All the brake pads rubbed badly out of the box so i wish they gave instruction on how to adjust those. (As all 3 of the bikes i ordered from them had this issue )It is fitted for a second person, i have not tried two up but i don’t think it would be comfortable and i doubt it would have the same level of power getting to higher speeds. We use it off and on road which is why we chose this model. Handles both effortlessly.I kind of think the chain pedal assist is stupid. It would make way more sense to just make it full powered. But I’m sure there is a legal reason they all have pedal assist. It is not a bike you are ever gonna just pedal ride. I guess if you ran out of juice on your battery, but it would be a difficult journey.I also nought the YR20 Jaison from the website which is basically the updated version. It is quicker off the line. It has some upgraded parts. It came with a 2 yr warranty and was only a couple hundred more. I would recommend this for bang for the buck and quality.
5.0 out of 5 stars Solid and strong
This bike is really great and built solid strong frame allowing baskets and set up for carrying small cargo both in the basket and in the back of the seatNot hard at all to assemble having just a basic knowledge of hand tool experience.I am 315 lbs and it takes me around the blocks with ease and feels confident and reliable also has a removable battery for extra security that you can charge while it is off the bike.I feel it is a solid purchase and has good value to dollar
4.0 out of 5 stars Great, and fast ebike with a few problems that can be fixed with aftermarkets
I have nothing but good things to say about this bike. Well maybe a few bad things, but that's more user error I'll save that for later. Assembly was cake, nothing crazy complicated. Another thing to note is that this bike is MASSIVE. I'm 5'9, and my feet could barely touch the ground on it. The shocks on this bike are really soft, even at its top speed of 30. Going over bumps and dips is easy too. The seat is super comfy, and unexpectedly has a slight elevation on the back so you do slide all over it. The battery life is pretty dang good too. The bad of the bike is the handlebars are really awkward, the left and right brake on the bike are both aligned differently. Making turns on the bike is weird too, but that could just be due to how I adjusted the handlebars. The front lights on it are really dim. If you plan on doing a lot of night riding Id recommend buying an aftermarket light. Same goes for the rear tail lights. The pedals were the most annoying parts to put on, I actually lost a pedal after my first ride. Which is probably more my fault, but the fact it happened is still notable. The brakes are really soft too, I dont like soft brakes. Especially on a bike that goes as fast as this. On my other ebikes i can use the left or right brake and come to a full stop no problem. On this quick beast both have to be used and it takes a few seconds to come to a stop. A problem you dont want on an ebike this fast.
5.0 out of 5 stars Retrovolt Jasion E-Bike Review – Surprisingly Awesome for the Price
Alright, I gotta say—I wasn’t expecting much when I ordered the Retrovolt Jasion E-Bike, but this thing straight-up blew me away. For the price point, I figured I’d get something decent enough to cruise around on, maybe a little clunky, maybe a few corners cut. Nope. This bike came out swinging.First off, the build quality? Solid. It doesn’t feel cheap or rattly like a lot of budget-friendly e-bikes. The frame is sturdy, the tires grip well, and the styling has that clean, retro-cool vibe without trying too hard. It legit looks and feels like a higher-end ride. Now let’s talk performance—because this thing moves. The motor gives you that satisfying boost when you need it, and the pedal assist is smooth, not jerky like some other budget models. Whether you’re cruising around town or taking it up a hill, it keeps up without making you feel like you’re about to blow out your knees or your battery. The battery life is solid too. I’ve gotten great range out of it, and charging doesn’t take forever, which is always a win. Honestly, I’ve ridden more expensive e-bikes that didn’t perform half as well as this one.If you’re on the fence, let me just say: for the price, the Retrovolt Jasion is a hidden gem. Perfect for casual riders, commuters, or anyone who wants a reliable e-bike without spending a fortune.
Fun to drive, top speed of 56km/hr, Comfortable to ride
I have been waiting to write my review on the RetroVolt until I got some km's on it and at the moment I am almost at 300km.Out of the box my front forks were damaged to the point I couldnt install the front tire. I reached out to the seller and they offered me a small refund of $100 due to replacement forks not being in stock. That worked for me because I wanted to upgrade the suspension at one point anyways. So I chanced it and put them in a vice and straightened them the best I could so I could use the bike tell new ones arrived.I also reached out to Jasion directly about the shocks and they wanted to make things right also but since the seller refunded the $100 i didnt want to pursue and waste anyone's time with it but while I had opened communication with Jasion I was questioning my battery life they offered to replace my battery or have it rebuilt locally and would help cover the cost. I thought this was great customer service. But since I put an extra 200km on the bike I feel the battery has actually been performing quite well. If I do short charges to top up the battery I find it doesn't last but if I let it drain to 10% and charge to full i am getting a decent distance. While using pedal assist I can usually get 30-40km on a single charge. If I was to use throttle only I would say 15km max but also consider I am 230lbs and not on 100% flat ground. So I feel this is acceptable. Now on to the bike, its fun to drive much larger than anticipated. I am 6'1 and can just barely touch flat foot on the ground. The seat is comfortable and long. My wife also bought the Roamer ST ebike and we brought them both camping we made atleast a dozen trips from our camp site to the beach her bike lasted 4 days and didnt need a charge, mine needed a charge on the third day. I also made 4 trips with my son sitting on the back which he thought was the best thing in the world. I asked about buying the cushion but was told they don't support a second rider, I found that strange considering the ad shows a second rider and comes stock with rear foot pegs...Top speed I have had the RetroVolt up to 56km/hr on a slight downhill grade, peddling at this speed is non existent so thats motor only. I would like to put a bigger front sprocket so I could make better use of the peddle assist and other gears. I find I leave it on one gear 95% of the time. Now this bike is a blast right out of the box but brakes deffinitly need constant adjustment because at high speeds they are not stopping you quick. I havnt upgraded mine to hydrolic but plan to this winter. The front air shocks I purchased were direct bolt on and give it a nice comfortable ride with alot of adjustment. I also added a headlight from a Ridstar ebike which looks great. In the end I am happy with my purchase and I am sure its not Jasion or Sellers fault mine arrived slightly damaged and more so the shipper probably dropped the box pretty hard. So far my wife and I drive our bikes every evening and it gets us some exercise, we find we are using pedal assist over the throttle only. I have only ran out of battery once and let me tell you its not fun to peddle this heavy of a bike but that was poor planning on my behalf for leaving the house with less than 50% charge. Customer service has been great and the RetroVolt has its own unique look which turns heads and I have been asked questions from people interested in where I got it.
This is my car replacement as long as the weather is decent.
This is incredible value for money. Riding DOWN to the lake 12km downhill at full power 5/5 gives a remaining power reading of 60% under load and 80% at no load. The bike has no problem sustaining 48 kph on flat ground on full power. I believe average elevation goes down about 135 meters. Riding back UP the same 12km at 3/5 power, the bike will do 37 kph sustained and with minimal pedalling on moderate hills, it will get back home with the same 60% remaining under load or 80% at no load. If you use full power on part of the way UP for 3 kms the battery life at arrival is 35% remaining under load or 60% at no load. So really you’re looking at a maximum of 45mins to an hour battery life (depending on power level and elevation) and in the city you’re going to be ok keeping up with residential traffic speeds. You don’t want to ride it more than an hour anyway your butt will get sore. Battery takes 6-7hrs to charge (it’s only 110w and the charge slows down at the end). It fits in an elevator the same as a regular bike. If you’re not too weak, you can man-handle it down a set of stairs in a pinch. If your strong, you can man handle it UP a set of stairs but it weights about 70lbs… The horn is loud, the headlight is bright And the rear brake and turn signal is very handy. The brakes are a little underpowered for a 70lb bike that is cruising at 50kph but they work fine, front disc squeaks a little and you need to use both brakes to slow down with traffic. Frankly you would not want a faster ebike. This thing has no business on the sidewalk, or pretending to follow pedestrian rules. Ride this like a motor vehicle but keep to the side so traffic can pass you slowly. Be careful, I had a Lincoln SUV run me off the road at an intersection where he was behind me. He was edging forward at the light and just used the size of his truck to force me into the pedestrian crosswalk while he passed me in the intersection… an Audi did something similar on the road last week, they think they can lane split a bike and not provide the legally mandated 1 meter of room… Rich luxury drivers are a danger to an ebike that moves with the slower traffic… but I chased him down… and chewed him out at the next light… so again…. This bike is NOT SLOW… Off road on the grasss in the park it will pass slower e-bikes that keep to the bike path. I’ve overheard people saying it’s a nice bike watching me come and go. I topped up the tire pressure to 30psi to reduce rolling resistance. I weigh 220lbs.
Great bike, great customer service and loose critical screws and bolts
The bike is really great and goes faster than the allowable 32 kph in Quebec.Great or excellent customer service they called me up to find out if I liked the bicycle and inquired to see if I had any difficultCaution: retighten all bolts and screws.I did not give 5 stars because many of the bolts were loose or either over torqued.

We got this bike and do not regret it. Super easy to assemble. It’s a little on the heavier side so a second person should help. The seat fits an adult and child easily. And we cant forget that it goes pretty fast too. Since we got it, we’ve been using it everyday.
