I had another CarPlay screen in my 2014 BMW X3 that I bought off of eBay and it worked for a year but recently stopped connecting to my phone and would only play sound from the front left speaker. So, I took a chance on this one and I have to say, it’s way nicer than what I used to have. First, this was super simple to install. If you have a dash removal tool, a #20 hex driver, and 30 minutes of free time, you can totally install this on your own. Second, the quality is way above other similar displays I’ve seen. The screen has a thin aluminum bezel, it’s super thin, it has a nice anti-glare coating on the screen, and the screen is a glorious 12” wide. Unlike my old display, this one connects to my phone automatically and then launches CarPlay - almost like it’s an OEM product - and the interface is lightning fast to load and is very responsive to the idrive controls. I hope this one lasts longer than a year but I bought the assurion extended warranty, just in case. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this. I was annoyed when the last one stopped working but this ended up being a nice upgrade over what I had before.

Only about two days in, but this screen is absolutely amazing. It’s very responsive, easy to use, and the touch screen is amazing. The instructions help out with minor details so the recommendation is to search and watch a video on YouTube. However, installation was easy and took under an hour and a half.

I love the concept, after having this a few months here are some things I’ve noticed. Sometimes it drops the connection to your phone meaning that you have to go back into the original radio side to make sure that you are connected per the instruction’s. The mirror option when you go to play streaming apps such as Apple TV has no volume and most of the newer apps block the mirror option. I am working on a work around to add a fire stick to it but I will see how that goes. Not a bad unit but could be better.

Fairly straight forward???Only if you are mechanically and/or electrically inclined.Also super helpful if you read Mandarin Chinese, as the instructions suck.Other than that….It works great and is a massive upgrade over the stock screen

Extraordinary.Very easy to install (I did it myself). I used a video to learn how to remove the car's dashboard without breaking it, and the rest was just disconnecting and reconnecting the cables to the connectors it comes with.So far, the only thing I haven't been able to connect easily is the Waze audio (meaning, Waze works, but I can't hear what it says), and I also haven't been able to sync the audio for phone calls (meaning, I can't hear or hear my phone conversations). I haven't had time to check if I'm missing something to sync or reconnect, but it really hasn't been a big deal to give it the time.It still fits perfectly in the car and has really refreshed the car, making it very modern and functional with new technologies.

Installation is easy and fits perfect! but reference videos are no profesional and you can make mistakes. Written instructions are not enough to DIY.Audio quality improved a lot you will love it.From reverse camera to CarPlay back takes 20 seconds (whole live when you are driving) I expect vendor read this to improve firmware.You can’t change startup screen and is terrible, fortunately it appears a few seconds.From time to time it looses connection with iPhone.Regardless improvements pending it a lot better than OEM, so I’ll buy it again.It uses battery same as OEM, I read a review on this and that works perfect.12 inches screen in BMW x4 f26 with CarPlay and IPhone

I have and older BMW and would highly recommend this screen upgrade. It looks like it belongs as part of the standard system while giving you the ability to use carplay/android auto. The screen is a good size and looks better than current BMW models. Works with current controls while still having the ability to use the original screen functions. I have average mechanical capabilities and managed to get installed on about 2 hours. I watched the videos and took my time. I did have issues with system using the screen mics (way too much road noise). Sent an email to the address provided and got a quick response which walked me through a setting to adjust the bluetooth connection in the system settings to use the car mic for original sound. Have used it on several road trips and very happy. Definite upgrade.
