This is my third one—they last a long time. I didn't even consider getting a different brand because these toothbrushes do an amazing job cleaning my teeth while being gentle on my gums. My dentist recommended it ages ago, and I'm still very pleased with the product. My Dentist and hygienist have told me that I hardly have any tartar buildup compared to what I used to have. It's so nice not to need so much scraping on my teeth during check-ups. This new toothbrush seems quieter than my previous Oral-Bs. One thing I'm not thrilled about is that I can't use the generic brush heads. I will need to buy the i0 type brush heads. The color is pretty sleak looking, too.

I have used oral B for 15 years or more and the new design works well. I ordered a black unit to replace an older style and was a bit upset that only the toothbrush is black. Why did Oral B send a white charger? You would think if you offered a color choice the whole item would be in that color! Maybe they will see this and make a change so the toothbrush and charger match!

I've always been good at brushing my teeth with a plain old toothbrush. So good, even, that dentists have been able to tell. The trick is to use less toothpaste and brush for a long time, about as long as a typical pop song. I changed dentists recently and the new one told me I must get this brand of electric. I did so.There is a marked difference. The difference isn't how clean my teeth get; they feel as clean as they did when I brushed the old way. But now, they feel that way longer. Six hours after brushing I can run my tongue over the surfaces and they still feel slick, instead of fuzzy.The negatives: I'm still not used to putting a relatively big electronic device in my mouth and now, over a month since the purchase, it still makes me drool about a pint. Also, it's changed brushing from an intuitive thing to a measured procedure. I'm in my late sixties, the age at which if you don't take care of some things they fall apart faster. I have many fillings and some caps (the sins of my youth, when I only brushed once a day and didn't floss), but I've yet to have a root canal or need an implant. I'm hoping this method can help me stave off the need for both.

Bought this toothbrush on my dentist's recommendation. As the tile says, I feel the difference right away. The brush seems to be very thorough on the teeth and gives a nice tingling feeling when done. It glides smoothly on the surface of the teeth so no pain. One will probably need to get used to the sensation especially if one has been using a regular brush but you will get used to it. I still have not figured out how to stop the brush after the required two minutes so I will have to experiment. The charge lasts a good long time - for weeks on end - the initial charge is about nine hours out of the box. The brush has a sturdy hard plastic handle and the unit is completely waterproof so have no fear of rinsing it out thoroughly after each use. The unit does not come with a case or protective covers for the brush head so please read my reviews for these add-on products. Oral B should have provided these items, at least brush covers but it si what it is. So I am satisfied so far - I hope my dentist will be too!

Great electric toothbrush, with a replaceable battery
My wife has been using only the cheapest Oral-B electric toothbrushes for her whole life, but I like gimmicks so I bought this and have been very impressed with it so far. One of the reasons I bought this is it appears that the battery is easily replaceable. It takes a Sanyo 3.7V Li-ion battery that's available here on Bolo. So when the short charge cycle eventually kills the Li-ion battery, you can very easily replace it. Rather than buy another overpriced electric toothbrush.
Love it!
Great tooth brush. Came with two brush heads, however, i need a softer bristle and these were a bit stiff. Otherwise, the performance is great with a long battery life.
