I added a new clean sponge in the water bowl and I struggled keeping it at the 70/70 sweet spot. ( 70 degrees & 70% humidity ) it was either to hot/cold with humidity rising and dropping during the day and night. I came across this product called Boveda packs. They have three different humidity packs. I chose the 69%. It’s super to completely level things out to the amount you choose and it will last for 3 mnths without adding any water. I just got one pack and I still had the same issues. I was frustrated and thought I just wasted my money on this humidor. I did more research and learned I didn’t have enough of the packs to my ratio of cigars. I added 3 more for a total of 4 69% packs. I let it run for several hours and I checked on it and the levels were perfect.

Does exactly what I needed to do. The location I chose for my humidor is not always maintain temperature. This unit is doing a great job of keeping my cigars at the set temperature.This only maintains temperature and does not maintain humidity.

Don’t waste your money. This unit has a very hard time maintaining anything close to 70% humidity, the temp control is no where near what actual temp inside is, the fan spits out moisture so much it can damage cigars and the drip tray has to constantly be emptied. Forget using Boveda packs it will never reach the desired humidity level that way. Horrible unit poor quality and design.

I bought this on October 5th. I was impressed by the recommendations from cigar reviewers, and it was about the perfect size plus it cooled AND heated--which was important.I noticed when I got it, there was an odor--kind of like hydraulic fluid maybe??? I used baking soda for a week, and it didn't go away, but I figured it would go away after time. It has not. I am sad about this, but I could live with it.The last three weeks, the unit won't hold humidity. I have changed the two 320-gram Boveda packs and even bumped them from 69% to 72%. The reading is staying around 58% to 61%. NOTE: I am using a three pack of Switchbot hydrometers--one in my standard desktop humidor, one in my transition humidor and one in this unit. They have all been calibrated.It is sad because I bought this unit specifically to store my better cigars--Fuente Fuente Opus X's. Padron Serie 1926 #9s, Rocky Patel ALRs (2nd Edition), and my favorite frequent smokes--Oliva Serie V Melanio Maduro lanceros & figurados. They are all going to have to be moved into another humidor now, and rehydrated and I lost the money I spent on this unit--which I reallly had high hopes for!The humidity problem with this unit has happened in the last three weeks, so my purchase is past the return date. Hopefully someone with the company reads this and takes pity on my plight. If they do, I will do a follow up review with a truthful account of events.I scored it at 2 stars because it is just this one unit and may be a fault specifically to the one I was sent. I was at 4 stars (because of the smell) until three weeks ago.Peace-r.11/22/24: I was contacted by the manufacturer about two days after I wrote this review. They have been in constant contact and responded to me quickly. They not only offered me possible ways of fixing the issue (which I am now working through), they also offered some refund to help cover the inconvenience. Alyson has been excellent in correspondence and quick to dialogue about the issues and my take on it. They actually are trying to be helpful, and that should be commended.I would say that if they hadn't read my original review and reached out, I did not have any way to connect with them that I can see. I will be interested if they find a way to QC the issue at the manufacturing stage. I am working on the smell issue now. I will see what happens with the humidity control after that.

Very nice electronic humidor for home or office use. This is an excellent container for those of you who run out of room in your small wooden humidor. I'm very happy to keep all my cigars in a humidity controlled environment for future use. Compact size makes it ideal for storing in an inconspicuous space. So far I'm very happy with this this unit and I'll provide an update when needed.

I’ve had this 23L Needone since January of 2025. It has developed temperature control issues beginning in early March of 2025. The temperature goes up about 4-5 degrees from a set point of 69F to 73-74F lowering my Humidity causing my Govee Alarms to go off. I pull the plug and wait 10 secs and that works for another 4/5 days and the temperature goes up again. I’ve Contacted Needone for a 2nd time and hoping they warranty it. I’ve got a 26l KingChii purchased almost 1 1/2 years ago and it never has had any temperature issues. Will update this review when I hear back. To much invested in Cigars for it to be going out of whack. It was Seasoned Correctly and I have the drain plug covered like others have stated to do on Forums. Also Govee has been Salt Test Calibrated…Hoping I just got a bad egg and they will make good on replacing it.UPDATE: After a few trouble shooting emails,Needone sent me a new Unit. I changed the review to a 5 Star. Appreciate the Customer Sevice! 5⭐️’s

Product does keep temperature well!....and that's where it stops. I've found it nearly impossible to maintain humidity levels. I have to use two XL 75% Boveda packs to keep 67-70% humidity. The heating/cooling plate is at the bottom...I've learned the absolutely hardest way possible that condensation builds (pools) at the bottom. Imagine my surprise when I pulled out a handful of waterlogged cigars that fell. One of the reasons I even decided to make this review is because I literally JUST got finished soaking up 2 paper towels worth of water pooled at the bottom.This device is NOT recommended for those that actually care about the storage of their sticks.
