This is the best shaver for someone just beginning to shave or having sensitive skin, me myself having sensitive skin lol this really minimizes the amount of irritation I have and still gives me a really close shave and leaves no stubble.I also really love the fact it has its own cleaning station so u don’t have to sit for long periods of time cleaning the blade out all you have to do is put the shaver in the cleaning station and press the button down and let the station do its magic, it does make a little noise but it’s only for 15-30 seconds.I highly recommend this shaver it is a little pricey but the shave experience is worth it and you won’t regret buying this shaver!

Been using for about 3 months nowI upgraded from a braun series 1 single foil shaver that I had for years (7+). I was worried about the massive head on this unit causing it to feel bulky. However I personally found the head to feel very comfortable and glides across the face smoothly. Compared to my older single foil, I don't have to worry as much if I miss a day of shaving. This shaver really does get the longer hairs. My older unit was great at getting stubble, but anything to long and you have to finish with a razor to get those, or I have to use a razor entirely. This new shaver fixes all of that, i can miss a day or 2 and this still cleans me up very nicely. Still not great on neck hairs but that's all shavers to me.It doesn't feel to bulky on the face, and the upper foil still gets the upper lip area really well. The self cleaning system works very well to. I was kinda skeptic on if I really cared for it, but worth the extra money.

Shaver works as advertised. Noticed it doesn’t get the cleanest shave. However this is very convenient and the cleaner adds to that. Not sure if the newer models are any better at cleaning and shaving but this works great if you have enough counter space in the bathroom.

I really like the comfort and closeness this razor gives. Works very well wet or dry but for a really close shave I think a lot of it is in the pre shave lotion. Use a good quality pre shave and see if this razor doesn’t provide a really close shave for an electric razor. For me about as close as a 5 blade manual razor. Try it and see. Don’t think you’ll regret it.

I bought this for my son who is 15 and just isn't comfortable with a regular disposable razor for whatever reason. He's also 15, so he could just be lazy. Anyway, I tried the shaver out a couple of times so I could show him how to use it. This is where the first star was lost. The "instruction" material that comes in the package is completely useless. For the booklets, the only words are the typical warnings and "safety" information that I'm sure was only included because their lawyers told them to put it in there. Other than that, there's nothing but pictures and they're not really all that intuitive. So, I did what any modern era person would do and went to the website. There are lots of articles on how to create different facial hair styles, but nothing at all helpful on how to use or maintain this product.As to the actual performance of the product, once you figure out how to use it (right pressure, correct angle, stretch your skin, go slow, etc) it gives a decent shave. I can typically skip a day of shaving with a regular bladed razor and this shaver produces similar results. If there is anything more than a 5 o'clock shadow on your face, this shaver struggles. So, anyone who wants to go from beard to smooth is going to have to take an extra step and trim down the beard to a shadow length. I also discovered that even though it says "wet or dry," it works MUCH better dry. My son tried it after a shower and the shaver just would not move across his skin. The next time he tried it before his shower and had a much less frustrating experience. I haven't tried it with any sort of shave gel or shaving cream.The battery life seems to be OK. We've had it for about a month and used it maybe 10 times without having to recharge. Apparently the station that came in the package will charge and clean the device. But, I've already talked about how horrible the instructions are for that, so, good luck.Overall, I suppose it does as good of a job as any other electric shaver I've ever used. I think $130 is a bit much for the product itself, even with all the "extras" included. It's not really worth the time and effort to return it and try something else, so, we are going to keep it. Based on this product experience, I would not buy another product from Braun, but that is not Bolo's fault.

Bought this razor Oct 21, 2021. Worked for about 3 months; stopped working beg of Jan 2022. If you like having a lot of extra parts and a large unit to store when you need to clean the unit, this is the shaver for you. However, if you also want it to work longer than 3 months, don't buy this. Called Braun & spoke with Customer Service - a "locked" LED light was on & wouldn't extinguish; couldn't reset. She told me I had to package up the item (meaning I had to go buy a box to package it up in since once it worked for 30 days we threw the box away....like most people would), then go online and fill out request for return & get shipping label, take it to shipper, wait 10-15 days for processing, then repair center would decide whether they would repair or send replacement. All while having no shaver. Since it clearly was broken per Braun, I feel they should replace item WHILE you are waiting for repair/replacement. Otherwise, my husband has to go by a new shaver -- or what he's done is buy disposable razors. My husband is disabled; I have enough just getting him through each day. We've thrown away and will have to go buy another - but never a BRAUN. What happened to shavers that were compact, with maybe one part, easy to store and simple to use? I have 3 degrees and I couldn't figure out how to use all the parts. Sign of the times I guess.

Very good razor
I've been using a blade for ages and used to have one of these back in the 90s. The 6 series seemed like a better than average model so I chose this. I remembered the cleaning station and it always worked well which this one does, with added fill detection and flashy light. It cleans faster than the old one, under 5 minutes. There is the cost of the refills but there are alternatives. The razor has 2 speeds, charges fast and a charge lasts a few shaves but it charges while in the cleaner so it keeps up on its own. Indicators for battery, clean, turbo, head replacement and button lock. It does give a good close shave but I find a blade to be closer. For a daily shave this one does just fine. The price is good considering the clean station and a cartridge comes with it. Luckily the box did not contain any venomous spiders so no worries there. That alone sold me on it.

Great razor, the “special” cleaning thing is an ugly waste of space, and where are you supposed to buy the disposable cleaner? Mine will be going out in the recycle bin.
