The top speed of 20 MPH is also very beneficial to me. It's pretty lightweight considering the large lithium battery installed inside the bike. Fast charging is fantastic. The folding is easy and fast as well. Easy to carry and store inside the vehicle's truck. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a top-quality electric bike.

This bike offers great value and is perfect for budget-conscious commuters. It provides a smooth, stable ride and feels safe in urban traffic. The foldable design makes it an ideal choice for short-distance travel. After comparing different models, I found this fit for my needs.

Purchased two of these about a year ago. Generally very satisfied. Fold up nice and small for storage in the outside compartment of my motorhome. The ride feels stable, and given the fat tires the bike rolls along pretty efficiently when peddling w/o e-power. Brakes are sufficient. The battery seems robust and had at least 1/2 left following a 20+ mile ride through rolling hills. There are however two shortcomings worth noting; 1) The PAS is simply a speed control servo and controls power so the bike travels at a fixed speed, rather than delivering a fixed torque with speed then determined by how hard you pedal. I have another 'center drive' e-bike where PAS is a torque multiplier, and while the bike is delivering power, speed is based on how hard you pedal -- but it is a much more expensive bike. And 2) The throttle is way too sensitive and it is difficult to hold a constant speed with throttle only. Nevertheless very satisfied and would buy them again.Another small problem is that they lay down on the derailleur in the RV compartment and there is no protection for the derailleur. To solve the problem I replaced the right side rear wheel nut with a 12x1.25mm automotive lug nut as shown in the photo. The lug nut is fairly long and has a smooth surface on the end so it slides nicely into the compartment and protects the derailleur while the bike is laying on its side.

Great bike with booster.I only need it for short distance commute and it works well.Though the gear is not as smooth as I expected but is worth the price, I don’t use it that much.The damper is impressive and adjustable.Overall the foldable is great choice I made and I would recommend for everyone who needs it.

They do not support this model anymore! You cannot get another battery. I’ve emailed, I’ve called, I’ve contacted the manufacturer of the battery directly. GoTrax support responses by email are generic and read like they are generated by AI. Customer service on the phone is outsourced to other countries and they just say sorry the battery is sold out. Taotao is the manufacturer of the battery and they won’t sell one directly and redirect you to Gotrax. This bike is worthless without the battery. If you get one that works you are lucky. Also the design is flawed. When folded it doesn’t lock to prevent unfolding and the hardwired connection to the removable battery is exposed when folded and easily damaged if tipped over. Because the bike is so heavy and not well balanced it has fallen over multiple times on me including the first day when unboxing. The mounts are not metal but plastic and I already broke the mount for the display because of the poor design and cheap parts

The media could not be loaded. We own multiple electric bikes, but this is our favorite so far. One charge can go up to 55 miles, and we have never run out of the battery. The bike is too heavy to lift to the trunk alone, but it easily fits in our trunk. We like the front shock absorber; it makes the ride smoother and more comfortable.I wish there were a seat cushion on the rear seat so it would be more comfortable.Overall, I will recommend it to others.

This is a fascinating e-bike that lasts a long time on a single charge. It has a 10.4Ah battery that allows me to go for fun, leisurely rides without having to worry about the battery dying along the way. It is also equipped with a 500 W brushless motor that offers me the option of going fast if I need to get to a place on time thereby, preventing me from running behind schedule. Overall, its dual battery offers dexterity and versatility to those seeking outdoor adventure without having to worry about getting a flat tire, no matter how fast or how slow you are going. This e-bike is ideal for all types of terrain, except for the rain. By the way, there's this excellent person who works for Gotrax support and her name is Kayla. What I like about her is that she is very patient and diligent when it comes to providing excellent customer service to her customers in a timely manner. In conclusion, she never makes a mistake as far as I know. In fact, if there is a part that you are in need of for your electric scooter or e-bike, then she's the one to go to.

My first one was not a walk-through style and sadly realized I had to sell it. It was a good quality bike; however, it was very expensive $$$.The R2 folding Gotrax is an amazing deal for a excellent ebike! I was sceptical despite all the ratings and now I am a believer. It has style and I received many compliments. The folding feature is so convenient. I saved thousands of dollars buying this bike and saved even more from the folding feature that doesn't require installing a receiver and heavy duty hitch to transport my ebike. Ebikes are usually heavier and I've read where some people had a hard time lifting their bike. I have a tip: lift the back end into your SUV first so it is half the weight. Then fold the handle bar, then unclasp, lift the other half and fold into the back. This may not work for a trunk of a car. I am unable to lift anything heavy and I find this really helps me. The R2 fits in the back of my 2018 Equinox with the seat up! I could fit two more with the seats down and will be buying a second one for my husband. At 6'2" he made some adjustments to my ebike, test drove it and agrees the quality exceeds other ebikes out there. I agree. The quality of the R2 even exceeds my first ebike. The R2 is built to be durable. The clasps that hold it when unfolded are strong and have safety locks to ensure they don't come apart. It's completely adjustable for your height. I am 5'9" and it's a perfect height for me. The seat is not the cheap ones that usually come with more expensive bikes. Gotrax has incorporated a comfortable and shock absorbing seat. The fenders are not plastic! They are metal. Like the rest of this ebike they are durable and attached to the ebike with heavy duty mounts. The rack is heavy duty. Gotrax, I appreciate these type of upgrades without increasing the price! I like the display in the middle. It has a long battery life between charges and more power than I need. You can charge it on or off the bike. I have a steep hill to climb every morning and the R2 has no issue climbing. The R2 came almost all assembled and just needed to attach the pedals, which was easy.Gotrax is awesome!They provide video tutorials on how to calibrate the breaks. I did it! The manual is full of info and a schedule for maintenance to care for my ebike. It was easy to learn how to unfold and fold up my ebike.So Gotrax you build a great quality R2 ebike!If I were to change anything it would be where the key is located. Not sure if the key can be moved. Perhaps it was placed underneath just in case you forget your key? Or maybe that location eliminates impacting it. The breaks work very well; however, they do let everyone and bears know I am applying them. These are minor and definitely not a deterrent for me.Did I say I love my R2 Gotrax ebike😁Thank you for making an affordable and amazing ebike!

I bought this bike in December 2024, and it never powered on. My experience with the Gotrax team has been incredibly frustrating. Four months have passed, and nothing has worked despite their attempts to help by sending replacement parts. Each time I reach out, I find myself explaining the situation repeatedly and resending the same videos countless times. If you're having issues with this bike, I would strongly suggest that you skip the headache and go directly to Bolo for a refund. I want you to know that the Gotrax team will unlikely resolve your problem effectively.

Received in good shape. Very fun to ride but you need a few minutes to get use to the functionality of this thing. Motor is strong and acceleration fast. One would wonder, doe's it fit in the back of a Chevrolet Spark 2020? YES it doe's, with the back seat completely folded. Once the bike is in the back, you can manage to place it in a way that the driver seat gives you enough space to drive safely. But it is very possible except for a tall guys, but tall guys do not usually drive little Chevy Spark.

Great refund by Amazon, but the product itself was a huge disappointment

I originally wanted to give this product 1 star; and frankly, I still think the Gotrax R2 is NOT worth the price. But I’m updating this review because Bolo did the right thing and fully refunded me after I provided all the issues I faced.✅ Bolo's customer support was responsive and helpful❤️ and I’m grateful they took my complaint seriously. That’s the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1.❌ The bike itself? Major disappointment.- "False advertising: It claims 64–89 km per charge. I barely got 70.6 km total over almost 2 full charges. And I was riding only on pedal assist, with proper tire pressure (35 psi) and flat roads."- "Mechanical issues out of the box: Rear brake grinding like metal, front fender was crooked and misaligned."- "I weigh 77 kg — well within normal — and I never used throttle. This was pure pedal assist. Still didn’t deliver."❌ Don’t be fooled by the specs. It sounds good on paper, but real-world performance is miles off.I refused to return it because re-packing and shipping an e-bike is a nightmare. Fortunately, Bolo agreed and refunded me fully but if you're buying a commuter bike expecting what’s promised, THIS ISN'T IT.Be cautious and do your homework before trusting marketing specs.And big thanks again to Bolo ❤️ for standing up for the customer when the product didn’t deliver.

J'ai reçu le vélo le 24 juillet 2023 seulement 3 jours après l'avoir commandé, super. La livraison a été effectuée par Gotrax dans une caisse carton rigide et très bien emballé.Le vélo est facile à assembler puisqu'il est plié et près à être déplié. Par contre, les instructions sont en anglais.C'est ma première expérience avec un vélo électrique 20 pouces et je suis content de mon achat. J'ai choisi le blanc et il a de la classe.Le seul point négatif jusqu'à maintenant est lors du freinage, les disques avant et arrière grincent.Je vais informer Gotrax afin de savoir s'il y a une solution à ce problème.A part ça, je le recommande.
