The first still works great but replacement blades cost half the price of the shaver so I just bought another one. One downside the connection to the shaver is proprietary and the charging is by USB, and they do not provide the wall wart charger, so yet another single purpose cord in a drawer.

I've been converted. I've been a lifetime traditional manual shaver. I've tried electric shavers in the past and they never got close enough to match a blade shaver. This shaver does. It's made my morning routine so much quicker and I don't have to worry about shave cream, dull blades, and cuts. Awesome.

Nice electric shaver for convenience, but coming from a safety razor and shaving cream, it just doesn't cut as close. It shaves okay but requires a lot of persistence going over the same spot again and again to get those final few hairs. The battery does last a long time and it is very portable in the hand. It runs fairly quiet and is like a face massager. It is a toss up between this and the Braun at the same price point. I feel the Braun does cut better for some areas by design (foil), especially under the nose. The Braun is also louder. This Norelco does look like a premium product, but it just requires a little more effort to get the job done. I do like the push button flip up screen to clean it and rinse it off. Also the battery does require some sort of USB-C charger (not included). I like that this uses a Li battery as well.

I chose this shaver because replacing the blades of my old norelco shaver did not help get a closer shave. Right out of the box it has worked well, just as I expected. I do like that it has several lighted bars that give you an idea of the power left in the unit that my previous shaver lacked. On the downside, I had to use by own usb plug to use it that was not provided in the box. I suppose this is the way the market is going, but not a fan. My old shaver had a more conventional cord and plug which was more compact for travel. I was a little wary about quality, as the pricing was lower than a lot of other norelco models, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it works. Here's hoping it lasts as long as my previous model.

Lightweight, quick to charge, close shave, easy to clean under running water. However- blade longevity is a concern because of conflicting information. Product description clearly stated blades are self sharpening and last 24 months. One the package however it says for best results replace every 12 months. I know replacement blades/ heads are expensive so buying a razor that would not require the blades being replaced for two years was a big part of decision. Which one is it 24 or 12 months??? Time will tell but company marketing people should be ashamed of misleading/conflicting information

Stray hairs were only found after some search and destroy missions with pale skin and grey hair.This machine did the work very well. No hair left untouched.I was a bit worried about getting a snagged hair or two but no such event.Very good for the price. Happy old man.
