Would recommend this model if you can catch it on Bolo for the $37.50 price I paid a few weeks ago (checking the website today, Bolo is charging $49; possibly the price fluctuates with demand/market/tariff situation). Website says this particular jacket (Glennaker Lake II) is returned quite often; thinking folks are wanting a bit heavier rain coat (which Columbia does make for about $30 more), but I actually prefer this lighter weight.....perfect for stuffing into a daypack or behind your car seat. I also ordered (at the same time but from a "competitor", another VERY similar rain jacket on Bolo.....Outdoor Ventures Men's Rain Jacket $36.99), & am going to keep BOTH (nice to have a spare & will store in different locations). Columbia jacket had velcro wrist adjustment flaps (Outdoor Venture just had elastic); Outdoor Venture jacket also has a loop at the collar so you can hang the wet jacket on a wall hook in a restaurant (or your bathroom), but the Columbia jacket does not (surprisingly; as that feature would certainly only have cost them an addition 50 cents to include). Either jacket would be an excellent choice at this price-point).

Purchased for my son who is often between a medium and a large in the shoulders but a consistent medium waist. The medium fit well with room to spare for a heavy sweater or sweatshirt. My husband has the same jacket in a XXL for several years and I can say that it is waterproof and does a good job of blocking the wind. The XXL was true to size also allowing room for layering. Having the hood is a bonus. It is well made and a great packable jacket for travel especially if you travel light. The jacket virtually weighs nothing and takes up little real estate in a carryon.

It does not come with instructions, but in case you are curious, it packs into the left pocket that has a double zipper. Not the most durable looking zipper I have ever seen, but it’s expected at this low price.

This jacket I purchased for work, I'm exposed to the elements so this was a must. Super convenient to carry around in my bag daily.I love the lightweight material and how comfortable it feels. The colors I picked I feel compliment most clothing.It fits great and keeps me dry and keeps the wind out, as expected from the brand the quality of material and zipper are top notch. The hood is great because it is concealed in the collar with 3 velcro straps so it's super easy to deploy and put away when not needed. I love the style of the jacket very fitting and professional looking.The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the description said it had a hidden pocket to fold the jacket up in when not in use and either its so well hidden that I never found it or it doesn't exist.Either way I'd recommend grabbing one of these in your size and color of choice especially when they go on sale.

It fits great and keeps me dry on the rainiest days. What else could you ask for? The roll-up hood is nice, and the shape allows my hat to be completely covered, which is one of those little things you don't notice until it's pouring. The pockets are kind of hidden and zip up, which I found to be a nice thing. The jacket looks like it was made well and is going to last. Great purchase, and I might pick up another in a different color.

It’s ok for what it is but seems pricey at fifty. The older version of the jacket had mesh inside and a hidden pocket. This is just nylon inside and out. There are also no zippered vents. Not worth it for me unless it’s much, much cheaper.Also, the sleeves run a bit long.
