So I just received this today and I'm impressed by the build quality. No wobbles, sturdy base, it holds hooks nice and very smooth rotation, and the bobbin holder is such an underrated feature. If this vise holds up over time (especially because I don't put a ton of time on it) this will continue to keep me happy and downright impressed. The price was great. I kind wish there was an option to buy this kit with the premium tool set as I would have bought that instead. But the tools are decent especially for those getting started and I loved that it came with the hair stacker and bobbin threader. Overall I am very happy I chose to buy from Kingfisher Fly Shop.

I loved how I was able to turn the base so I could get each point on the treble hooks I tied. Great quality, value for the money, amazing durability, hold, while the weight is perfect so that it doesn't move as you tie. Amazing functionality and strong hold for different hook sizes and types.

Well built and light weight. However, the barrel lock at the top of the vice will not tighten and the vice continues to rotate when tying flies, any recommendations on how to keep this from happening and how to prevent the rotation when you have a fly in the vice?

This product is made of good quality material. It came in a great travel case and starting tools. I have used for about 4 months now. Has held up great. Only issue is that there’s a gap in the mounting post. It came like this. I fixed it by adding a shim to keep it from moving while tying. Read on another review and stated they had the same problem. Overall I would purchase again.3/11/25 update: I’ve been using for over a year now and no issues! This is a great vise. I use this on a daily basis!

Product looks nice but it came defective with rubber ring broken. The vise will not stay in place and easily rotates when trying to work. Tightening knob feels of cheap material.

La construction est très bien faites . C'est un véritable 360°, le centrage se règle aisément , peu importe le type d'hameçon . La base est moyenne/lourde, stable et grise/matte ce qui permet un excellent contraste et la finition est exemplaire . C'est un choix budget si vous avez le Peak Rotary Vise en vue . Il y a deux roulements sur l'axe , aucun lousse nul part . La vis de friction a un embout de rubber qui permet un ajustement doux et constant . La maçhoire est bien usiné , polie . Le levier glisse et barre bien . Elle prend du 2/0 popper a 22 midge .

Everything arrived in perfect condition, well packaged and it feels very smooth in operation, the set screws lock everything in place tightly enough
Absolute waste of money
So disappointed. I've always wanted a rotary vice, but could not afford the price tag. I saved up and bought this. Within 3 months, the jaws splayed and it became useless for hooks under size 8. I contacted Kingfisher to see if I could get replacement jaws, but they declined to respond. This vice is terrible. The jaws are soft, the cam lock is weak, the rotary lock-off is weak, the base is not heavy enough.... my advice is either buy a 20-40 quid cheapy and replace every couple of months or invest in a proper (peak or hmh) vice. This is NOT good value at all and the manufacturer foes nor offer any support at all. All I wanted was a way to buy new jaws and no response. Total waste of money
