It arrived in a sturdy box that was nicely designed to show contents. The disappointment was that it does not contain specific instructions. I will need to print out some of the photos from the listing to get the full experience from this product.All components are made of plastic except for the dicing blades, even the veggie scraper and egg separator. Those actually look exactly like those two items contained in a Montessori Kitchen Utensil set I obtained for children.The listing is contradictory, stating that it's "dishwasher safe" but in the writeup, states to "not put items in the dishwasher as the hot water could deform the plastic". This definitely needs to be clarified.The different components slide in and out easily but certain things are not instinctive, eg, the "Push" button that helps push excess food into the collection container for cleaning purposes and the "hand protector" (to put over the food to scrape back and forth to create shreds).The collection boxes are designed to just fit all the components with 2 stored inside their sections on the unit itself. This will make storage more fiddly as you must work to get them all inside.I suspect I won't end up using this much because of the storage issues and need to hand wash (as I'm assuming you must do).

When I ordered this I had no idea how much I would be using it. Somehow, I have managed to find a use for it almost every time that I cook now. It is a huge Time saver. The blades are quite sharp though so be careful. Safety would be the only concern with this so I would advise not allowing small children to use it because it is extremely Sharp. It's quite easy to keep clean as well which is an issue that I've had in the past with other types of vegetable choppers. In fact normally that is what makes me stop using them is because I don't feel like taking everything apart to clean it. Overall this works really well and saves me so much time in the kitchen just be sure to take proper safety precautions.
