Exactly as expected. Quality cover and paper thickness is durable tolerating erasing and rewriting.

I bought three of these for my daughter's music classes. Overall it is a Stellar music composition book, and looks classy and professional.Here are some things that could either make or break your experience:-Bleed factor: 4/10. If you are using a more inky black or colored marker/pen, it will bleed through to the other side, though without inhibiting you from taking notes.-Binding Quality: 9/10. The binding of these notebooks does not get in the way of turning the page, and is very durable! We were pleasantly surprised with the quality.-Page quality: 8/10. Though thin, the pages do not tear easily, and are easy to write on.Many of my daughter's classmates got notebooks that they thought looked like hers but were a slightly different brand and ended up disappointed. All in all, a great buy for the price, and worth it for college classes!

This staff paper notebook is a comfort to use. The staves are reproduced evenly on each page. I like the quality of the paper stock. It takes pencil, pen, or felt tip pens well. I can't say the same for past books from my years of writing music notation. The spiral binding and cover stock allows the book to lay flat on the table and also provide sufficient support if you are writing while using the book. Absolutely recommend this Staff Paper Notebook.
