One thing drive me to using bad words. I said this before, but it is an irritant. They attached the handle to the lid. Plastic lids are hard enough to use on glass jar. Having a handle in the way so that you have to remove you hand with each turn is frustrating. Fir someone new to what cold coffee brew represents, this is a good starter pot, or I frequently used pot.The instruction page presented a problem. Simple answer: go online and get detailed instructions on just how to make cold coffee. Now, the simple instructions manuel is a fine reminder.Packaging handled the trip thru shipping very well. It is glass. It was double packed.There were many choices of cold brewing containers. Considering the cleaning process I go thru with my automatic tea pot, I opted for simple. Simple is very easy to clean with no over-engineered top to take apart to clean. Small enough for refrigerator or counter.The gaskets didn’t look sturdy to me, but after use and washing, I think they will be just fine. It’s hard for the plastic lid to screw on and off because of the handle, but I succeed. I use a standard tube sponge to clean the filter. Works better.

Okay, I Absolutly LOVE mine.I am able to cold brew my favorite coffee (HEB brand maple breakfast. Medium roast that smells like pancakes and syrup 🤤) that is a fine grind without all the extra work of filtering it or going to a course grind. Did one cup coffee and filled the rest of the way with with water and brewed in the fridge for 12 hours so it didn’t get bitter due to being a fine grind. Turned out PERFECT and the filter was super easily washed out to set aside until it’s time to brew another batchHad a good seal on it too so I was able to shake it up pretty well to get that coffee fully submerged and mixed into the waterline inside the filter.Highly recommend

My local Costco has been out of the Kirkland Cold Brew cans and now that it’s summer in the South, I can’t live without my cold coffee in the mornings. Enter this amazing cold brew maker! Mine arrived brand new and well packaged. It was easy to assemble. I debated removing one star because there were no instructions included on how to use it. It’s not rocket science but this was my first experience and would have liked some direction. **Thank you to Mobile Home Gourmet for leaving a very detailed how-to video review!** I’m very pleased with the coffee it made and I love having a big jug waiting in the fridge. The jar feels sturdy and is easy to clean. Just buy it!

I'm loving my cold coffee brews but I was not loving the mess I was making trying to drain the coffee grounds through cheese cloths. This item solved that and could not make the process so much easier. The pitcher is nice and sturdy and the wire filter is great for keeping all grounds intact so throwing them out is a breeze. With the included brush keeping both filter and pitcher clean is so easy. The only reason I'm giving a 4.5 star versus a 5 is that I was hoping that you could still pour the finished coffee without the grounds coming out. I solved this by purchasing another 64 oz mason jar and use the metal filter in that to brew coffee and then pour it into the pitcher so I always have another one at the ready. Product is awesome and I recommend having an extra large jar to do this. Highly recommend and have shared with my cold brew buddies.

Very happy with quality overall. Handle and lid are made of nice thick plastic that shouldn't break. The stainless steel filter seems very high quality and doesnt allow grounds into your coffee. Glass is nice and thick. Seal is solid and doesnt leak. Comes with a nifty cleaning brush to make it easier to clean and because its glass doesnt have any funny chemical tastes.Very easy to use just dump your grounds into the filter, pour in your water and throw it in the fridge...a true set it and forget it!One thing I am disappointed with is its not a true 8 cups/half gallon when making any drink that REQUIRES THE FILTER. The filter changes the volume when inside the jug, just like when you fill a cup full of ice and can't fit as much liquid in the cup. It's probably something I should of thought of, but when using the filter its only able to make 6 cups of coffee.

This is a great way to break the Dunkin' (or Starbucks, if that's your thing) habit and save yourself some money.It's also great to cut back on the caffeine, which makes my blood pressure and doctor happy, because you can make your brew whatever proportion of decaf you want.The pitcher does the job and is easy to use. I am careful about lifting it when it's full since it is pretty heavy then and I don't know how much the handle will handle with repeated use. Not that it's showing any signs of deterioration after several months of use, just something to keep in mind.

So far we’ve loved it, used solely for cold-water brewed coffee.The jar/container is solid. The top is substantial and secure, with well-designed handle and top pour opening. Great seal, with and without the filter.The filter is well designed, fine-filtering, and easy to empty and wash/rinse clean.All fitting tight and secure.Works great!

My wife wanted me to save some money and make iced coffee instead of buying it. I used a French press and then cooled it in the fridge to start. The caffeine difference was bananas (I must have proportionally used way more grounds). It was actually too caffeinated and bitter (albeit a little less bitter if I only steeped for 30 seconds).Enter this 2 quart bad boy. I fill it with room temperature water and let it steep in the fridge for two days. It comes out, smooth and the amount of caffeine is perfect. Admittedly, I am probably using a little over half the amount of grounds I was using with the French press (but apparently that was too much).Simple and super easy, convenient pitcher, quality, stainless filter, and the iced coffee tastes great!If I was being super picky, I would wish for a slightly sturdier top (I can feel a slight flex in the handle when it is full)…but I don’t feel that it would break.
