Also I have read that pasteurized is better than sterile.. as it still retains some ability to ward off contamination.The seller couldn't get any better, with phone support and they were extremely helpful and willing to help.

I mixed in less than a pound of grain spawn 2 weeks ago and I already have mushrooms growing. This is a great substrate. No problems with contamination.

I usually mix and pasteurize my own sub but I wanted to try out something that was ready to use to see if it was worth the price and ultimately chose this product to test out. One of the filter patches was slightly ripped when I opened the package. It was the one on the underside, so I'm hoping nothing got in and I immediately covered it with micropore tape. Added 1.5 lbs of clean grain spawn directly to the bag and resealed so I guess we'll see how colonization goes 🤷🏾♀️Update: Aug 14, it's mostly fully colonized but it's been stalled for a bit. I don't see any obvious contams but I'm gonna give it till the end of the month before opening to properly inspect what's going on

I purchase 3 bags of my usual substrate, and 3 bags of this Olympus substrate because it was less expensive and I could get it faster. Well I guess its true, you really do get what you pay for. All 3 of my regular bags are doing well, while all 3 of these Olympus bags turned to garbage. Sadly a waste of time and money on this purchase, but at least now I know, DON'T ORDER SUBSTRATE FROM OLYMPUS 👌

This substrate blend is a game-changer for me. The simplicity of using it, combined with the incredible yields I’ve been getting, makes it a must have for any mushroom grower. The fact I’m gearing up for my third flush speaks volumes about the quality and effectiveness of this substrate. I’ve included a picture of my second flush.If you’re a serious mushroom grower looking for outstanding results, I highly recommend giving this substrate a try.

Seems like this is way higher quality than the other i had, and used for quite some time without problems. Happy to see how it will effect everything!
