I have had several of the TruBars. I really like the ingredients (great fiber!), the flavor of several of the bars and the texture. I'm a "chewy" person. I really loathe the chalky, pasty, crumbly protein bars and am glad I finally found one that isn't that way.**FAVORITES**Key Lime: Someone said that it tasted to them like a marshmallow and a key lime pie had a baby. I feel that's accurate. It's got a good lime taste, it's great for curing the sweet tooth, and doesn't have any chalky aftertaste. It's one of my favorites when I'm looking for a citrus-y/sweet treat.Saltylicious Almond Love: This one is also amazing! It doesn't taste exactly like almonds and chocolate, but more like a toffee-ish flavor. It's less sweet than the Key Lime, so on the days that I want something chocolate, this is one I turn to. The texture and the no chalk aftertaste is something I really love about these bars!**These were tasty and I would get them if my favorites weren't available**Daydreaming about Donuts: This one was decent. It did have a slight donut flavor, but I don't think I would seek it out if I had other flavor options.Oh oh Cookie Dough: This one was also pretty good. It did taste like cookie dough, so if that's what you are going for, I don't think you will be disappointed. It has the same great texture of the other TruBars.**I didn't like these at all and couldn't finish them after the first or 2nd bite**Strawberry Shorty Got Cake: I didn't get any of those words from the first bite I took and I threw the rest of the bar away. It didn't have a strong strawberry taste.Birthday Cake: No - just, No.

PROS:INGREDIENTS - it has a lot of ingredients I want and doesn't have the chemicals I don't want. So definitely five stars there.TASTE - OK I KNOW we all would like something that tastes like dessert and I don't know of any protein bar who can trick me into believing it's actual cookie dough, but I like the taste and one of these bars and a glass of almond coconut milk and my sweet tooth is satisfied and I feel noble for eating one of these bars instead of ice cream or cake, smile emoji.NUTRITION - Really good for one bar. I am always low in potassium and few bars have very much at all, but I like the fact it has a good amount of iron, protein and a LOW amount of salt and no cholesterol.TEXTURE - I didn't find it dry, but then I did have almond coconut milk with it. For me, dryness NOT a problem.COST - I did get these while they were on sale, but even at regular price, I would get again. If you haven't noticed, everything is going up. Where I would spend 1.50 for a decent protein bar, hard to find that these days. I am glad I got to TRY these while on sale, because you never know.BOTTOMLINE: I don't know about the other flavors, as cookie dough is the only one I've had so far, but would definitely reorder.

The glazed donut flavor is my absolute favorite; in fact, it's the only flavor I will eat. Even my kids like these bars, and they're super picky! If anyone is familiar with the old school candy "cow tails" it tastes a lot like that to me in the glazed donut flavor! I also appreciate the cleaner ingredients in this brand, they used to sell them at Costco but stopped carrying this flavor so Bolo is now my go to - the price with subscribe and save is actually very reasonable. I've had these on order at least a year and I have never had a bad pack, theyre never dry always fresh! The protein content is a little less than other bars at 12g, but so is the calorie content.

Nutrition metrics are good. Flavors are mild. Too sweet for me. Gave them to my daughter who is the one who recommended them to me.

I have tried almost all of them. This one reminds me a bit like an almond joy. It feels like a special treat.I try to get them in sale. Some of the flavors I like in the fridge.I like that they are small and flat they fit into your purse if you need that snack you have it handy. The ingredients are perfect for so many peeps with food challenges.

While they might not be to everyone's liking (like anything else), I really like them. Hard to find low carb, high protein, plant-based bars without sugar alcohol. These fit the bill for me whether on a long hike or a quick bite before work.

As a vegan it's nice to finally find a protein bar that not only tastes good but has a pleasing texture. I love Trubar's Get in My Belly Pb & Jelly! They are not too sweet, unlike 2 other varieties they have. I have tried most of the flavors and this is my favorite. I also love the Oh Oh Cookie Dough. I started buying them here because Costco changed them for a different variety. The coconut ones were good, but the cookies and cream were way too sweet for me. I also thought the doughnut flavor was too sweet with little flavor.

These are my daughter's favorite protein bars. The loss of stars because of how expensive they are. They're also hard to find in bulk to save. If the company sees this review, please offer it in bulk regularly. I can't always even find it on Bolo. I also cannot find it at my local grocery store and I have to go to whole foods. It tastes good. Has a good amount of protein. Calorie count is on par.

Tastes great. Like a protein boost and a treat all in one. Arrived a lot quicker this time around which is amazing! Very pleasantly surprised with that.. would love to have access to more of the flavours!

I've been addicted to Trubars since I first came across them a few years ago, and with citrus being one of my absolute favourite flavours in general, I thought that their new key lime flavour would be utter perfection.Not only was it not even remotely as good as any of their other flavours, it was terrible. For the most part, the bars themselves are all the same, with the difference showing up in the coating by way of flavouring extracts. The key lime smelled very much like cleaning products and tasted extremely artificial, with a perfumed aftertaste that almost made me feel like I was walking by Bath and Body Works.Let's be real. As far as protein bars go, the nutrition profile of Trubars isn't astounding. The protein is relatively low, with higher calories and sugar, comparatively. The macros aren't amazing. I buy them because they are vegan and (usually) an incredibly delicious, healthier alternative to a chocolate bar or other sweet snack.All other flavours available in Canada I'd rate between 4.5-5/5. The key lime would get a 0/5. I hope the recipe gets reworked with some real key lime zest, and they do away with the scented candle flavouring.
