My husband was asking me to get him some kind of sock helper because, as he's getting older, it's getting harder and harder to bend down to reach his socks and put them on. So when I saw this, I immediately ordered it.Unfortunately, this one is a fail for the most part. To use this device, you stretch the sock over the guide, put your foot into it and pull the sock on with the two attached ropes. His socks will not fit very far onto the guide because it's so wide. However, he managed to get the sock partially on then then pull it up the rest of the way by grabbing the rear of the sock. If you look closely at the picture, you can see how much wider it is than his foot and how it will ruin his socks by stretching them so far. If it were narrower, it might work better.So, it doesn't work very well, but it does work, sort of. This is a good idea, but poorly executed. I don't recommend this product.
