Each large-capacity container is designed for optimal growth, providing ample space for roots to thrive. The medium planting kit is perfect for one water lily. The large planting kit is ideal for two water lilies or one water lotus. The kit includes fertilizer tablets to nourish abundant growth and prolific blooms.
Water Lily & Lotus Planting Instructions
Step 1: Fill a softshell pot with Aquatic Planting Soil, about 75% full.
Step 2: Plant the tuber horizontally with the bottom root end close to the tub wall and the growing tip pointed upwards and towards the center. The tuber should be placed down into the soil just enough to be anchored.
Step 3: Top with a layer of Aquatic Planting Media to trap soil and protect the plant, ensuring the growing tip is exposed just above the media.
Step 4: Water thoroughly then place the pot into the pond. The water's surface level should be 3-6" above the growing tip of the stem. Once new growth has reached the surface of the water move the pots to the deeper areas of your pond. Lotuses prefer full sun exposure.
Step 5: Add fertilizer tabs every two to four weeks.
