Bass subwoofer placed in corner is very good and provides that low depth. It connected to iPhone via blue tooth so I can play iTunes music collection through it.Needed to upgrade from an older LG SL6Y 3.1 soundbar that has been in use for 7 years and was loosing eARC connection every 30 minutes to the LG UR9000 55-Inch TV.At $246.99 Mission accomplished. No dropped connections and improved overall sound. Quite pleased with the LG S70TY 3.1.1-Channel Soundbar.

Hooked this up with my 2018 LG 65" C8. Sounds Great! Extremely fast and easy install!TV remote, automatically controls sound bar volume.Be sure to follow the instructions on the correct order to plug in the power for each speaker. Bluetooth synced automatically.Would definitely buy again!!

Great sound. I have it paired with the LG QNED 55” tv also purchased on Bolo. A very nice combo for a modest price. I enjoy the tv and soundbar very much for casual day to day viewing and listening. Highly recommend the pair.

If you're a company that's going to make the bold choice to have everything about your soundbar be configured via an app, you'd better make sure that your app is AMAZING. And that your hardware connects with a variety of WiFi routers. Unfortunately, LG did neither. ☹️I set this up easily, and everything worked great at the basic level. Solid wireless connection to the subwoofer (which neither Samsung nor Sony can seem to get right), and the rear channels worked great. The overall was good, but not great. But I can't tune the sound or adjust anything without the app, so I was never able to get it to sound great.And unfortunatley, I couldn't set up the soundbar using the app. It always failed at step two of adding the device, which seems to be when the soundbar tries to communicate with the wireless access point. I called LG support seven times (three of those were the system hanging up on me mid-wait), and their tech support wasn't helpful. There seems to be no log files or data that they can look at to see exactly what's going on. It just fails (that error code in the screenshot wasn't indicative of the actual issue), and they could offer no advice on how to get it working. I tried both the Android and iOS apps; I rebooted, reintalled, and re-initiated everything multiple times. Nothing helped.Honestly, it's shocking to me that LG would prefer me to return this product and leave a negative review rather than build things into their system to help with troubleshooting WiFi issues. This soundbar system could have been great, but it's a 1-star product because LG made the entire system reliant upon the app working, and their app/wifi connection piece just doesn't work well.

Received well boxed, easy to place in room and connect speakers to soundbar via BT. And that's where I am now. For the past four days I have tried a variety of suggestions from LG. The latest suggestion is to contact my Internet provider and see how I can force a 2.4 connection. That'll be tomorrow's job. After going into my LG C4 menu and selecting wireless speakers, I was able to hear that the speakers were working BUT (and here is the problem) you need to use that thinQ app in order to adjust the S80. Honestly, I've got a one month return window, with a week used up. I'm concerned that the app is buggy and I'll be better off returning this rather than risk future headaches. And if I stop listening to all the bs hype about needing more speakers, I'll just enjoy the C4 and its sound.
