It's a cream it's thick and creamy and nice nothing will moisturize your skin your hands your feet your fingernails and toenails elbows knees like this will after it's absorbed you will see your skin literally transformed. If you have any scratches or lesions it will burn a little bit at first and then you'll get used to it after a couple of applications and it won't burn anymore but it will heal skin that is broken or burned or torn or cut yes it will burn but it will heal really nicely with this product. It's on scented it's not greasy it absorbs very quickly it's absolutely amazing for dry feet for older folks it seals in moisture. It's an amazing product highly recommend in using it for years and will always have it on hand. It will make you look very moisturized and moist when you sweat it looks sexy with this cream
5.0 out of 5 stars Love this cream!
I have an elbow that is so dry. This cream works miracles! It absorbs, moisturizes and my elbow is so much softer. I also use it on my ankles.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for massaging into callused feet.
Some products for treating calluses on the feet are too harsh (chemical sloughing lotion or gels) or too greasy (foot balms, creams). As a diabetic, it doesn't take long for calluses to form on the bottom of my feet--especially the heels, the sides, and the bottom of the toes. I soak my feet in a foot spa once a month with warm water and Epsom salt (any "spa" variety: tea tree, lavender, peppermint, menthol) and use a fine emery board to gently abrade the hard calluses. The Epsom salt is what makes the calluses to slough off, and the fine emery board helps speed the sloughing process. In between soakings, I try to keep ahead of the stubborn callus growth by using the products mentioned above. Always looking for something "better" and a callus remover that wasn't prone to burn the delicate skin near the calluses, I found this: Major Pharmaceuticals' "Ammonium Lactate 12% Moisturizing Cream."Ammonia lactate is a natural moisturizer of the skin. It's an acid, which is primarily the reason it works to get rid of accumulated dead, dry skin cells. So that the acid doesn't irritate the skin, the lactic acid is neutralized with ammonium hydroxide. The result is a cream that is deliberately neutralized to a comfortable, human-friendly pH of 4.5 to 5.5.The key ingredient is ammonia lactate. It's the stuff that does away with dry, flaky skin, dead surface skin cells, and (what else but dead surface skin is calluses). The cream doesn't just remove dead, dry skin cells, leaving your skin bare and raw, like some products do. To protect your skin, the cream contains a number of emollients to hydrate, soften, and exfoliate dry and rough skin.Directions suggest applying the cream on dry skin twice a day. "Slow and steady wins the race!" the tortoise said to the hare. It's good advice in this instance. Harsh chemical sloughing lotions will quickly dissolve calluses, but it does so at the risk of burning and irritating proximal healthy skin. This cream works over a period of time that makes it safe for your skin. But in as little as three days, your feet will feel better, will look clearer, and seem softer.I recommend this product.
4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product, but received two 4.9-oz tubes of cream instead of two 8-oz bottles of lotion
This is an excellent moisturizer for dry skin, but the seller's listing needs to be corrected. Since the title reads, Major Ammonium Lactate 12% Moisturizing Lotion - Lactic Acid Lotion - .. - Daily Body Lotion - Fragrance-Free - 8 Fl. Oz (2 Pack), and the photo shows an 8-oz bottle of lotion, I expected to receive two 8-oz bottles of lotion. Instead, I received two 4.9 oz tubes of cream. Thinking this was a fulfillment error, I returned the unopened, sealed tubes of cream and reordered the lotion, but again received two 4.9 oz tubes of cream. I kept those. I prefer the lotion, but the creamversion contains the same % ammonium lactate as the lotion and works well, too.
5.0 out of 5 stars Slather Up But Only a Pea Bit!
Keeps hands from getting dry and cracked so I can do what I need to do daily. Has no fragrance and competitively priced. A tiny bit goes a long way. Recommended.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for your feet
This cream when applied twice a day leaves your feet very soft. There is no scent, I do wish it did have a slight scent. It’s not thick but it does leave your feet feeling moisturized and not oily. This cream was recommended to me by my Podiatrist. I was purchasing it at the pharmacy, but luckily I found it on Bolo for half the price
5.0 out of 5 stars It works for dry skin!!
My hands are constantly itching, red, cracking and dry. The dermatologist prescribed steroid cream and that only worked when I could use it. Two weeks max. A friend told me to try ammonium lactate so I ordered this. This cream has worked wonders for my hands. I have to use it daily but it has helped so much. There is no scent and very little oily residue.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really works well on KP
I've had KP since my teens and rarely went sleeveless. It always looked like my upper arms were covered in whiteheads, of course I had to try popping them using my thumb and forefinger. I used buff puffs and did all the wrong things... I never knew it was a treatable skin condition until just a few years ago. I THINK i was at Paula's Choice site when she explained they were not just zits but a build up of skin trapped in the pores and only looked like pimples. I followed her advice and started using her chemical BHA Exfolient liquid. That stuff was a bit to pricy to buy as often as needed, so after a little research I found Lactic acid would do the same job for a fraction of the price. I started with Amlactin which did work well but this generic 12% lactic acid treatment does just as well. It makes my upper arms really soft and clear no more embarresing pimply arms. Now I mostly go sleeveless in Summer without feeling selfconscience. If you have KP I've found the most cost effective treatment you can use is this product. Use it daily under a nourishing body cream and KP just fades away, it did for me. Remember to be gentle on the KP skin , you can't scrub it away. It takes time and consistant use of an exfolient and you'll be surprised how fast it works.
