It charges RAPIDLY and is then ready to relieve MUSCLE PAIN with electrotherapy in the form of electronic stimulation using electrodes attached to skin surface-applied pads. It is comfortable to use and, as you relax after a few treatments, the gentle stimulation will help you manage your pain.The unit provides everything you need to initiate your treatments. 8 pads (4 sets of 2), 4 connector wires, 1 charging cable, and the TENS 7000 unit. You must understand that this is RELIEF therapy. It is not intended to correct or "cure" the causation of the pain or associated disability. It CAN alleviate your pain and provide RELIEF that allows (in my case) several hours of RESTFUL SLEEP.After successfully using TENS therapy at a military rehab facility the opportunity to have MY own unit for use in MY home on MY schedule is amazing.This very compact unit works exceptionally well. It does EXACTLY what it is intended to do and the ONLY disclaiming factor is that the included instructions are not easy to understand or follow. These need a rewrite with NEW USERS in mind. Once you master the setup/use for YOUR particular needs this TENS 7000 will deliver as promised.My levels of relief vary based on the day's exertions, but in MOST cases I am gifted with calm and restful sleep associated with my TENS 7000 treatments.
