I love the texture of this cream. It's thin and creamy so it goes on evenly. It does have a smell but I was told it means it has higher concentration of retinol. The retinol is what helps with aging skin. I will take the smell to stave off the crepiness of menopausal skin for as long as I can.

The texture is rich and buttery, but it absorbs surprisingly well — no greasy residue, which is a huge plus for me. The only downside for me is the scent. It’s not overwhelming, but there’s something about it I just don’t enjoy — kind of nutty and earthy, which I know comes from the natural butters, but it’s just not my thing. Not sure I will re-purchase.I wanted to come back and update my review on the Versed Advanced Retinol Body Butter after using it consistently for a week. While I still don’t love the scent — it’s just not quite my style — I have to admit the results are starting to speak for themselves.My skin, especially on my legs, looks noticeably smoother and firmer. I honestly wish I had taken a before-and-after photo because I do see a visible difference. I’ve also been walking more frequently, so it could be a combination of that and this body butter, but either way, I’m happy with what I’m seeing!If you're looking for a skin-firming body treatment and don't mind a scent that might take a little getting used to, this is definitely worth trying. I’m glad I stuck with it.

I've been using the lotion that comes in a toothpaste shape tube for a long time and love it. I have very dry skin so when I saw there was a butter option I thought it would be great for more moisture. The product works well however the smell is terrible. It's not a lack of smell like some other reviewers have mentioned, the lotion doesn't have a smell. This butter has a smell and the smell is really bad. I'm trying to force myself to use up the container not to waste it but the smell is very unpleasant, luckily it doesn't last very long but during application and when it's on your hands it's very noticeable. Maybe if you have a good smelling body oil you can mix it with during application you can get by. I wouldn't recommend this though, definitely go for the lotion instead.

This might be the most fabulous skin firming product ever but I’ll never know. I used it for four days and I just can’t get past the smell. It smells like straight up transmission fluid. I am not a person that is sensitive to fragrance, but this is the most foul smelling cream that you can imagine. You will not come to bed feeling sexy, relaxed or refreshed but more like used car parts at a junk yard. It’s a no for me.

Love the Versed brand. This one isn’t super thick buts it’s a great creamy lotion. Smell is soft- like a cocoa butter. Love it Will buy again!!!

This is a very good body retinol but the smell makes it totally offensive and unusable. I wish they would address this.

Ok, so yes it does not have a “good” smell but honestly I don’t mind it, and I care more about results anyway. I love this stuff. I’m in my mid 40s and was starting to get a little bit of crepey skin on my arms, plus had a few dark spots the derm zapped off but left a little scar. Both are dramatically reduced since using this daily. It has a nice, thick texture and feels very hydrating. I put it on immediately after the shower and follow with some body oil for a nice smell.The results from this far outweigh any worry about the unscented lotion smell. I prefer to avoid fake fragrances anyway.
