This was delivered today as I’m dealing with knee issues also and so far it worked really well helping me stand from the sofa with it fully expanded but haven’t tried it from the floor yet but think it will work well….to be continued! To DeeAnn who did the first video review a huge thank you for the laughter you gave me when you said if they are laughing then they are too young to watch this video…too cute!

This is the 2nd one I’ve purchased. I wanted one for my garage and one for in my house. These work very well as I’m 80 years old and they help me get up when I crouch down. My complaint is the one I just received was so dirty that I had to scrub the bottom part with GuGone to get it clean. ANY one who has trouble getting the rubber on to the metal, heat the rubber with a hairdryer and it will go together much easier.

At 73,... I'm beginning to realize that I cannot 'do-it' all, anymore without a bit of help.Reducing my weight has helped a great deal,.. but I love to garden, and that requires a lot of up and down mobility.I looked at a number of different helpers, but finally settled on this one (it arrived yestrday, so with current thunderstorm, I've had no oppertunity to test it in mygarden yet.Someone claims it's cheaply made.I disagree.It's quite sturdily made.My ONLY problem with it was in initially getting the 3 parts together ( It came with no suggestions)But I figured it out,.... don't try and push the handle and foot on the lengthening pole,... you'll just get frustrated as it resists the whole idea,.... instead, line up the pole with one end and then gently press it towards the hand/foot,... while gently twisting the pole,.... and that instantly does the trick :D

This helper is a very short pole on a round sturdy base and with a large handle on the top. The base keeps it standing on its own, and prevents it from moving out from under me when I push on it. The large handle gives me a sturdy place to grab on and push. I bought it to help me in the garden this coming summer (planting and weeding should be easier, now that I have this to help me to get back up off the ground), but until then it has been helpful around the house. I'm glad I bought this. It has, and I hope will continue to be, a great help.
