Disney in Character is like a mix between charades and 20 questions. The cards are sturdy, easy to read, and tons of characters to choose from. The rules are easy to follow or modify. I purchased this to take to Disney on Ice and play while we wait for the show.

For the Disney fans in you, today or if you were ever one as a kid, this game is for you. We tried to play with our kids, 2 teenager boys but they were quickly bored. We on the other hand were sometimes laughing and sometimes wondering what to do. We realized, that we did not know our Disney as much as we thought!In a recent family trip, we took the game with us and had our nieces and nephews, a tad younger than my teenagers kids, play this game between themselves. One of our nieces is a HUGE Disney fan and she had tons of funs and she ended up the "belle of the ball" that night, teaching and showing her cousins how to play and what to do. Showing off her Disney knowledge and even heard some doing some pretty cool impersonations.In the end, I believe they had a great time and the game brought smiles and laughter to the whole group of kids.
Fun game for Disney lovers young and old, but game pieces aren't sturdy and no expansion available
Our family has a big extended family who we hang out with often and one of our favourite things to do together is to play games. Most of us are also rabid Disney fans, so when I saw the Disney in Character game from Spin Master, I was quick to order it. The game comes beautifully packaged in a professionally-designed, full-colour box, so it is definitely giftable. Inside the box you will find a pack of 100 cards, about 30 tokens, and a small manual.The cards are well-printed with clear and bright pictures, but the stock they are printed on isn’t especially strong and they don’t seem to have any protective coating on them that would prevent damage. Likewise, the stock the tokens are printed on seems easily bendable and not particularly durable at all. Because this game would appeal mostly to kids, this seems like a fatal error in judgment. So, just be aware that you wouldn’t want to buy this game for young children or children who are rough with their belongings.Disney in Character is a fun and easily played game that will keep Disney fans young and old entertained for hours! The game is meant for 2 – 4 players who are 8-years-old and up and it takes round about 20 – 30 minutes to play a game. It’s like a card game meets a trivia game meets charades, so there is something for everyone to love. One player portrays a Disney character as best they can while answering questions from the other players who must try to guess which Disney character is being portrayed. The first player to guess the correct character scores points. At the end of the game, the person who has scored the most points wins.Our family really enjoys playing this game because it really utilizes our imagination and creativity to play. It gets us laughing a lot, too, because it’s funny watching one of our family members pretending to be a Disney character and answering questions as if they are that character. The kids, in particular, really love this game. Though Spin Master suggests that the game is for kids 8 and up, I think younger children could play, so long as they can read well and will be careful with the cards and tokens. One thing about this game is that you really need to know your Disney to play it effectively. Because we have young children, the hubs and I are pretty well-versed in Disney characters, but other adult family members aren’t, so that leaves them in the lurch when this game is played. We also wish that Spin Master offered an expansion pack that would allow more than 4 players since we do have a large extended family and we feel that, the more the merrier.At $13.11, this is a nice little game that is easy to play and offers a lot of entertainment and laughs. The downside is the lacklustre quality of the cards and tokens, the inability to expand the game, and the fact that non-Disney folk are left out in the cold. We still think this game is worth the buy. I hope this review has helped you to make the purchasing decision that is right for you.
Great family game!
This is such a great and fun family game especially if you are a Disney movie lover! Lots of fun Disney characters to act out. My kids enjoy acting out the characters getting a little silly so it makes it hilarious. The cards are colourful and eye catching. The pieces are well made and sturdy. The game is easy to follow and fun for the whole family.
