I used it on smooth leather gloves for keeping gloves supple and soft as well as helping with waterproofing. I also used it in my leather shoes.

This leather protectant is very pure, light weight, and non greasy/oily. Instead just a very, very light amount on the fingertips (while you're wearing a vinyl glove) can easily coat an entire wallet, key wallet, or small belt. My suggestion is for you to put on a pair of vinyl exam gloves...take your index and middle finger and rub some of this protectant onto them...and apply a super light coating directly on the target area...then use BOTH hands to thoroughly and evenly spread the coating to all parts of the leather surface of the item you are protecting. Work it in well and you're good.The protectant super light wax/oil gets absorbed quickly so you can just set aside the item for a few hours just to make sure all protectant is permanently aged into the leather and you're done.For the quality, packaging of the screw-on lid tin container, and amount you get for the price—this is an excellent product and purchase. And, this shoe-polish sized container will no doubt last me a long, long time ; )

A little goes a long was for stickiness and value and making your leather softness. The thickness of the product and the function is perfect for the outcome of each actual design you use it on.
