I am always looking for STEM kits for my grandson as he loves science, putting things together and learning new things. It has clear, easy to follow instructions that made assemble easy. The speaker works good and the sound is clear. They like that they can get different radio stations through the air.

This is a fantastic product! Bought it for my grandson who is 8 years old. He has been buying old radios from antique stores and I remembered getting a radio kit for my birthday when I was 9. I put that one together and remember it didn't work very well. I helped my grandson put this one together, and it was easy for him...and the radio works great! You push the buttons to autotune the radio from station to station (self seeking), and the same for the volume. The wood panels press together ( like UGEARS kits). The quality is great, especially for the price and was a good tool in illustrating the workings of a basic radio.

My grandson put this together by himself and then used acrylic paint pens to personalize it. It was so fun to see him carry this around and to see him excited to learn about radio waves. Was cost effective compared to other STEM activities.

I purchased this little radio kit and set it quickly as there are just a few parts. I really didn't need any special tools as it can be put together just jusing your fingers. A needlenose pliers and a phillips screwdriver may make it a bit easier but not by much. The only benefit from the tools would be to get the kid to get some experience using them.The kit contains an exact number of screws to mount the speaker, antenna, and battery holder. Dont lose any.What would make this better would be a wiring diagram, this would help students if they are learning to use a multimeter (sold separately)I believe this kit is age appropriate as there are few connections. The only negative I found was where they expect u to place the the battery holder on the outside of the box.I hope this helps 😀

My STEAM schooled child and I worked this project together and had so much fun!! But.. it took longer than it should’ve because the instructions are very vague. final product works surprisingly well. I would definitely purchase again.PROS- works and works well, as a radio-a project your child will actually use after building-instructions unclear, but can take that as an opportunity to study pictures and try to work out the layout like a puzzle!-child will feel accomplished to create a working radioCONS-instructions unclear-screws/bolts unlabeled and missing some/some extra…but able to work around that-no battery cover (it would’ve been so much better with a battery cover)

My 7 year old made it by himself in less than 30 minutes. Fantastic kit for homeschooling science! If it was a real brand, we'd buy more, but it's just some Chinese generic name. Sturdy little pressed wood, no tabs are breaking off and he's not exactly being gentle with it. For $9, it's pretty dang cool. We have three very local radio stations and those come on crystal clear, the city stations are a tad static, but by the window they pick up well, too. The digital classical stations from the city don't come in, so it's definitely analog. :P
