I waited until I knew they worked because I've seen the negative reviews for hooking up the phone app. They are in 2 homes of mine with different routers and all hooked up just fine. I use Android and the app works great. Perfect for those lazy evenings when I want to preheat without getting up off my tail. PLENTY of heat available. Goes from 1-20 and 20 is not sleepable. Buy with confidence. I am really enjoying these and highly recommend them.

Soft, lightweight blanket that heats very quickly. The material is thin, and you can feel the heating wires inside pretty easily.The built-in WiFi feature was what prompted me to purchase this particular blanket. I was able to control my previous, older, electric blanket using a WiFi-enabled smart plug, but I could only turn it on or off using the smart plug, I couldn't adjust the temperature. With this blanket's built-in WiFi, I can not only turn it on and off, but adjust the temperature settings using either the app or Alexa.If you've ever connected other WiFi-enabled devices to Alexa (like smart plugs or lightbulbs), you won't have a problem connecting this blanket. Just download and install the mobile app for the blanket first (to give each side a name, like "Ron's Blanket") and then you can go into Alexa to create a routine. Alexa thinks about it a few seconds and then....BING."Alexa, turn off Jeff's Blanket" .......BING"Alexa, set (wife's side) to preheat" .......BINGThe blanket has 20 levels and a preheat mode. 9 is my magic number. I LOVE THIS BLANKET!PROS: Super easy to setup. Have to use their phone app to initially integrate it with Alexa, but if you are used to adding devices, it is a snap.CONS: Only works on 2.4ghz network. Also slower than other devices to respond to commands. Average about 5 seconds before you get a confirmation ding from Alexa. It always works though.UPDATE: 3 months later and still working perfectly. Alexa integration still works as it should. Alexa routines work flawlessly, albeit still a little slow.Bottom Line: If you want an Alexa enabled blanket that just works, buy this! At this point, even if it did fail, I'd buy another, even at this price.

Last week was our first chilly night and I can't fall asleep when I'm cold, I turned on my trusty electric blanket and after 7 years it had finally died. I went on Bolo and immediately started researching new electric blankets. This one had good reviews and I was so excited to be able to use it with my phone app or alexia. It was on sale, so I ordered it and it came 2 days later. It was late when I got home on delivery day, but it was cold so I was determined to use it. I set it up on the bed, plugged the power sources into the wall outlets and connected the other ends to the blanket. I started reading the instructions for setting up Alexia and the app, but decided I was too tired to struggle through that so I just decided to use it the old fashion way. I skipped the preheat and went straight for level 10. Fifteen minutes later it still was not warm, so I upped it to level 20. At 20, it got slightly warm but about the same warmth as my old blanket on level 2 of 10. I turned it off and just put on warmer pajamas and went to sleep. I have tried to use it for the past 3 nights and it never actually gets warm enough to be comfortable. The preheat, gets it warmer than level 20, but it's still never remotely warm. The most it does is just take the chill off the sheets. It's just like adding extra blanket to the bed and this blanket is really thin, as the heating intention is suppose to be electric. Maybe mine is just a lemon, but at this point for almost $200 I'm sending it back and just buying a thick $20 blanket.

Two separate controllers make it set up with alexa easy. I named one side mattress and the other cottage. This allows me to control them individually, also created a group called pillow and tried them to it so I can control both at the same time for turning on before bed time.
