The silicone is soft and pliant and the handle while just plain wood, seem sturdy. Just 2 things I can think to mention. 1st the shredder, for me is useless. it's too thin and flimsy, seems as if they just wanted to add another item to the set as a selling point but didn't care if it would even work for what it is intended. However, given the rest of the set I don't think it would merit taking a star off the rating. Second, depending on the type of water in your home you may find you'll need to dry these after washing. with our water these get water spots quickly so we need to dry them right away - as opposed to letting them dry in a dish strainer. No biggie just thought I'd mention it.

THESE ARE HAND WASH ONLY!!!! The wood handles are not really dishwasher safe. The handles had to coating stripped off in the first wash. Been handles washing since. It's a nice set comes with a ton of utensils. The silicone has held up so far.
