We threw him a Dr. Pepper party and he was excited to get to indulge in his drinks. He made a little mess securing the straw since he would try to continue to pull from it once it was closed but it is virtually no spill.

I bought these for a surprise to my husband and our friend for his birthday and they were a hit! They are hard plastic good quality, as expected and fit universally. Great look and decent price. One thing to note on functionality was the beer continued to flow after closing the clasp but hoping once the tubes aren’t so hard from use they will close off better.
