The battery pack actually makes a kind of annoying humming noise or like a high-pitched noiseAlso one of the gloves never lit up. It did come with the batteries that you needed for the gloves but you had to buy batteries for the mask. We swapped the battery for the gloves out and one of the gloves still didn't work. So I would not give this five stars for quality, my 11-year-old son thought the look was super cool and he really liked the costume. The gloves are thick material so they will keep your hands warm,
