I don't consider myself qualified to rate this compared to more expensive models but I know when a tool is well made and feels solid and this has all those qualities. I needed it to plane down several doors that were sticking after it rains.This did the Job perfectly. I dialed it to a 1mm cut and it smoothly planed the door down. I then did two more doors and was done. It's actually quieter and smoother sounding than the DeWalt my carpenter brings over.The Depth Adjustment is just a simple knob with clearly marked cut depths. It has a Vacuum attachment for dust removal and it worked really well with my DeWalt Wet Vac. Overall very easy to use even for a first time user.I have no idea how well this will hold up on a construction site but for me as a home owner it paid for itself after using it on just one door.

I have no dislikes. I never had one of these tools before. It is very easy to use and does a nice job.I chainsaw carve & build tables ect,, and have lots of live edge wood that needs plaining. This plainer takes the chainsaw cuts out of the wood very easily and it is ready to be sanded. It is sturdy built and isn't heavy. It is not tiring to use either. I'd recommend practicing with it before using on an expensive piece of wood. Like the depth control as well. You get your money's worth out of it. The price is right. Satisfied Customer

Great! Very solid feel and good power. Not super loud but still need hearing protection. Great price. Even included an extra set of blades, no dust bag. The only downside is the instruction manual is unusable. The tool came with several accessories but good luck figuring out where they go. User manual not available online.

Very skeptical on this purchase but man i sure was pleased with its performance! Had a bunch of rough cut oak boards i wanted to use in the bottom half of my laundry room but i all needed planing. I ordered this tool thinking if i can just get enough planed for two walls i would be satisfied. Man! It did its job effortlessly once i leaned how to get a feel for it. At the begiining i was being too hard on it exiting the board but once i learned to push down on the back just a tad and pull up on the front the same it was almost perfect. You wont hear me say this very often but this is a tool that is well worth the money! I highly recommend this for the diy guy or the contractor. Great tool!

The planner worked great on some 2x4s that were causing me some problems. With a good vacuum, there was no big mess or dust flying all over.

Bottom plates are not level. I had to run it over a bench sander to get it flat. A couple screws that hold the blades were so tight I had to cut a grove in them and use an impact hammer to break them loose. So I had to go to the store and buy new bolts. After all that, the machine works well. I ordered extra blades as the item said commanly ordered together. They will not work with this planer. Know what you are buying. I have used the machine and it cuts great after I fixed the problems. But I have a lot of tools to fix things. If you don't have a bench sander or impact tools. You are in trouble.
Great value. Worth the purchase.
I've only used it once but, spare blade included. Worked really well. Good power. You really can't beat the value. Would purchase again.
