5.0 out of 5 stars A Stunning IPS Monitor That Rivals OLED – Without the Burn-In Risk
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } 100% would recommend. I put my room in darkness and placed this monitor near my laptop's OLED screen, and it's almost identical in color clarity. It has 1 billion colors just like OLED screens and supports 10-bit (8-bit + FRC, so it's technically 10-bit). Even though it's an IPS panel, it handles dark colors incredibly well—better than any IPS monitor I’ve seen—almost like how it appears on OLED. What’s great is the brightness—it can get really intense in a fully lit room. And the text on screen is super clear, unlike most VA monitors that ruin text quality, especially if you code or play visual novel games.Viewing angles are great, I can't complain. I would recommend this over an OLED with the same specs 100%—great price, great quality, and no risk of burn-in.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great **2K, 1440p** Monitor
Pic is monitor after 4.7 months of use.I sold it to get a 4K, because I foolishly didn't read the resolution on this item when initially purchasing.I had never updated my BIOS on my old motherboard. When I went to, it finally stopped letting my GPU output 4k into a 2k monitor, and forced the resolution.Great for **2K, 1440p** gaming. Excellent for competitive games, I would say. The 240 Hz difference between a 60 Hz is night and day - I used to simply move my mouse around between this and my older ultrawide for entertainment. It was baby'd too much for me to comment on "durability".
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect
Love it. Did a lot of research in this one checked all the boxes.
4.0 out of 5 stars Worth it, if you're willing to wait to get a good panel.
This monitor is the best bang for buck purchase at the moment. It's got great motion handling, response time and brightness is excellent. Perfect size for most gamers on a budget, easy to set up and calibrate if you want; though just a quick and dirty calibration will set you up well. The only negative is that the first one I got, had a dead pixel. Thankfully you can return or exchange easily with Bolo, because the 2nd one was perfect and had an even more uniform backlight. Much less backlight bleed than any other IPS monitor I've used in the past and I've used most if not all of the high tier ones the past 10 years.I'd give this a shot if you're in the middle of waiting for better OLED tech without the issues and/or a good mini led implementation, which should be coming soon as well. This will hold me over for a few more years until that tech is more fleshed out.

good monitor. very heavy though need good monitor mount
1.0 out of 5 stars Screen flaws, coil whine, poor QC and only 1 year warranty - DO NOT BUY!!!
Massive QC issues on a monitor with ONLY a 1 year warranty - ARE THEY FOR REAL??? My first monitor had something akin to coil whine that was noticeable and a flaw between the LCD screen, and now the second has a great screen but guess what - still coil whine. Its lower and mostly blends in with the fan noise from the pc itself, but some of that is because my current used 3070 has crappy fans - so what happens when I upgrade? All modern LCD's seem to come with some risk - grab that extended 5 years from Bolo from Asurion or whatever they are called - but so many issues I and others have seen, and one repeated across two monitors I personal got (coil whine - like - why is my monitor making ANY noise) - this is pathetic QC. And to go with it, they give you the literally shortest Warranty in the business. Ignore LG, buy from HP or Asus instead.
5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning Visuals and Smooth Gameplay
First, the QHD resolution (2560x1440) is absolutely crisp. The clarity is fantastic—games look incredibly detailed, and everything from fast-paced action sequences to scenic landscapes is rendered beautifully. The 27-inch size is just perfect; not too big but large enough to immerse you in the experience without overwhelming your desk. The refresh rate (165Hz) is a game-changer, especially for competitive gaming. The screen feels buttery smooth, and I’ve noticed a significant improvement in response times compared to my old monitor. Combined with 1ms response time and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatibility, I’m getting the smoothest gameplay without screen tearing or stuttering. The color accuracy and contrast are on point too, thanks to the IPS panel. Whether I’m playing games or just watching movies, the colors pop and the blacks are deep, which makes everything look vibrant and rich. The design is sleek with some nice RGB lighting accents on the back, adding a little extra flair to my setup without being too over-the-top. The stand is solid, and I love that it’s height-adjustable and has a tilt/swivel feature, so I can find the perfect viewing angle.Overall, the LG 27" UltraGear QHD Gaming Monitor is an incredible value for gamers who want high performance without breaking the bank. It checks all the boxes: stunning visuals, smooth gameplay, and a stylish design. Highly recommend it!PLEASE NOTE: IT DOES NOT HAVE IN BUILT SPEAKERS
5.0 out of 5 stars LG quality monitor
LG quality like I’m used to. 240hz refresh rate, ghosting is barely noticeable, I just keep it on fast mode not fastest, and it’s been great for me.
Recomendado al 100%
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } Llegó en perfectas condiciones y sin ningún pixel muerto. Es mi primer monitor y en cuanto a shooters la diferencia es día y noche. Vale 100% la pena. Juego en Xbox Series X.

From initial faulty unit replaced to Fully working and amazing display
TLDR: Received faulty monitor, power issue, returned to Bolo, Refunded, Repurchased same monitor that is fully workingThe first unit had an issue where after the boot up logo it would switch off after 5 seconds each time. I tried a different power cable, but it persisted. Since it was the day of delivery, I opted to return the unit suspecting the power board in the monitor was faulty. Putting this out there because it is a really rare circumstance for a brand-new monitor to arrive as.Bolo customer service was great, and they accepted the return. This was also after speaking with LG and them confirming such an issue would require coming in for repair (I'm glad I did not have to exercise that) and not just something you can troubleshoot. The second unit works perfectly. I highly recommend this screen for people who don't want to take the dive into OLED yet. VRR works amazing with PS5 thanks to the HDMI 2.1 ports. I am also enjoying the added screen real estate coming from 24". The response times are stellar as an FPS gamer and text looks pretty good when i need to work on documents. Overall recommend for someone in the less than 500 CAD price point as the monitor worth is debatable at MSRP, go for it when on offer.
Excellent Monitor brought low by wall-wart power adapter.
Excellent monitor with wonderful colours that could be perfect if it didn't use a wall-wart power adapter.Seriously, when you pay a premium price for a monitor, you would expect it to use a decent power cord instead of a giant wall-wart adapater that takes up the whole plug socket.
