The bookmarks are gorgeous, and they diamonds were easy to stick on. It was a great project with friends. We could create and catch up. Easy enough to talk while doing, but oddly relaxing. Everyone loved it! These would also be great Christmas gifts. Have your kids make them for grandparents and aunts!

The biggest plus for this set of little dragons is that they are just so adorable. The biggest minus - this craft just does not work for bookmarks!A bookmark needs to be thin or it can damage the pages, cover, and binding. If you use one of these things (especially completed) the finished side presses on the books pages and can leave impressions that can damage the paper and the binding. You can't see the image once the book is closed. They are just too thick to be used as a bookmark.These are also too BIG to be used as a bookmark. At 3.74 inches on a side, that is a big bookmark. If the bookmark is used on a mass-market paperback, it covers over half the width of the page! Also, this design works best if placed on the bottom outside corner of the book. If put where most bookmarks are used, the dragon is almost standing on its head!One reviewer said they could be used as coasters. I agree. This design, and the butterflies, would work well as coasters and never be standing on their heads.All that said, they are so cute that the main purpose of buying them is for the fun of doing them rather than the purpose for which I did choose them.Do yourself a favor - use something thin and smaller as a bookmark - a store paper receipt, especially on thermal paper that fades over time, would work far far better.For the beginner -- be careful choose shipping. Mine was shipped without an outside box and the label was placed on the back of the box -- where the instructions were printed! I'm not a beginner so that wasn't an issue.
