Very solid value/budget Monitor in today's market. Plenty of color settings and features to go around.Im coming from a TN 1080p 240hz and am using a 2080 Ti. I tested on DP 1.4, I'm not sure the total capabilities of it's HDMI 2.1 input because my gpu currently doesn't have HDMI 2.1.I was able crank the monitor brightness up very high, definitely enough for any type of game I play. Black level adjustments plus additional sharpening feature for those sweaty fps games. Its very solid in terms of visual adjustments. It also has a super brightness feature that really does make it brighter at the cost of power draw. Super brightness gets disabled whenever using the blacklight strobing feature though obviously. Which is also very solid. I tested it on Normal and definitely noticed some added clarity during motion at the slight cost of brightness. Extreme makes it VERY clear but is just to dim for my uses, your mileage may vary. I feel like normal is definitely the way to go or at the very least try it. I've heard people saying Blacklight strobing causes headaches, I wear prescription glasses and have an astigmatism. I never got anything, but just keep in mind some people may be more sensitive to it then me.Response time adjustments are very good as well. Setting it to extreme I didn't notice any halo effects or trailing, I was pleased with it. Im no monitor reviewer that has the table charts with all the pixel being overdriven and all that. I just look for stuff that actually impacts my ability to see things clearly. And in most of the fps games I've tested I couldn't notice anything while being set on extreme, but I'm sure bumping it down a notch makes the pixels more "accurate".Now to the Meh..DSC is still a con and annoying. It's possible to disable DSC and still get 1440p @ 300hz at the cost of your color format and color range. But I thought I'd let people know that atleast. So if your into custom resolutions and what not this may not be for you. Ive yet to test that completely but at the end of the day im not sure that sacrficing the monitors color potential for a custom resolution is worth it. Its not gonna really make you any better. Whats the goal?It terms of build quality it feels better then just alright. The stand is decent, good enough for the average user, height adjustment goes up and down pretty far so its versatile. The actually panel it's self is not glossy like it says in the description. It feels like average plastic on the back not to cheap but not to high quality either. Doesnt have much wobble. In all it's like a 6 or 7 / 10.My monitor did not come included with a display port cable so keep that in mind, the product description is wrong on that aswell. In all, I like the monitor, even with the price @ 350$ it's still a very good buy. Plenty of settings to adjust to your needs, can configure your own profiles and swap them on the fly very quickly, visually clarity settings that actually help you see. Can't really find anything wrong with it other than DSC. With the drive to push the boundaries of refresh rates and resolutions DSC has been a blessing and a curse but atleast Acer was able to configute this panel in a way so YOU make that choice by enabling / disabling it so you can still get what you paid for at the cost of colors. I respect that.Definitely recommend, tell your friends. And happy gaming fellow sweats. :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible 180Hz Gaming Monitor with Stunning WQHD Resolution and HDR

    V. · February 20, 2025

I recently upgraded to the Acer Nitro 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 monitor, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. Whether for gaming or general use, this monitor offers a fantastic experience at a great price.Pros:Superb WQHD Resolution: The 2560 x 1440 resolution on the 27-inch screen provides sharp, detailed images that are perfect for both gaming and productivity. The clarity is excellent, and the visuals are significantly better than standard 1080p monitors.Ultra-Smooth 180Hz Refresh Rate: The 180Hz refresh rate is a game-changer for fast-paced gaming. It makes a huge difference in smoothness, and there’s no noticeable screen tearing or stuttering, even in action-packed titles.HDR Support: I was pleasantly surprised by the HDR support on this monitor. The colors are more vibrant, and the contrast in games and videos is more dynamic. It really enhances the experience, especially for games that support HDR.AMD FreeSync Premium: With FreeSync support, the monitor syncs beautifully with my AMD graphics card. It completely eliminates screen tearing, creating a buttery-smooth gameplay experience.Solid Build and Design: The build quality is sturdy, and the monitor has a sleek, modern look. The thin bezels are perfect for multi-monitor setups, and the stand is stable and functional.Cons:Limited Ergonomics: While the tilt is adjustable, it doesn’t offer height or swivel adjustments, which could be a drawback for users who need more ergonomic flexibility for long gaming or work sessions.Brightness Could Be Higher for HDR: While the HDR works well, the peak brightness isn't as high as some premium HDR displays. It's still great for most content but not as impressive as higher-end HDR monitors.Overall: The Acer Nitro 27" WQHD 2560 x 1440 monitor is an outstanding choice for anyone looking for a smooth, high-performance monitor. The 180Hz refresh rate, vibrant HDR, and sharp resolution make it perfect for gamers and those who want a quality display for media consumption. While it lacks some ergonomic features, the price-to-performance ratio is excellent. Highly recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for a Competitve Shooter 1440p monitor

This review is for the 300hz 1440p 27" variantIt is an excellent monitor for high refresh rate gaming at a relatively budget price. It is not an OLED when it comes to HDR or input latency, but the picture is overall quite decent and it is plenty capable of being a good monitor for a competitive first person shooter player. If you dont want to spend the money for one of thr qd-oled 27" options, I would certainly recommend this monitor. I have experience comparing this monitor side by side with the Samsung 1440p 240hz 27" offering that costs a bit more, and I slightly preferred the picture on this one. I also found the difference from 240hz to 300hz noticable on games that my computer could render at these speeds (or higher). If you are looking for a 1440p monitor for competitive shooters, this is the best value and it is relatively more future-proof than a lower Hz monitor, because it will be able to utilize upgrades to your PC for a longer time. It's a great option for E-Sports, Call of Duty, etc. However, if you mainly play stuff like Diablo or WoW, I would strongly suggest a 3440x1440p (21x9) monitor. The increase in screen size for those games is an incredible asset. In competitive FPS titles and e-sports, you probably benefit more from the extra FPS that a 16:9 gets than the increased peripheral area of a 21:9. That is a longer discussion altogether, so I will just finalize this by saying thay I have compared numerous 16:9 and 21:9 side-by-side with an open mind, and this is my ultimate conclusion. When I ordered this monitor in 11/2024 it was $279. In 3/2025 it is now $259. Get the "Camel Camel" app so that you can see the price history of Bolo listings, and make sure that you grab things when they are a good deal.

Dead pixel the first time I turned it on.

    J. · December 24, 2024

The monitor arrived 4 days early so I was excited to use it. I set it up and plugged my PS5 in. However when it turned on there is a dead pixel right in the center of the screen. The thing is, it doesn't bother me while I'm gaming but I know it's always there and technically I received a defective unit. Thankfully I opted for the two year warranty. If it gets worse, I'm definitely returning it. But other than the dead pixel, everything about this monitor is great.

    Buen producto

Muy buen producto, recibido en tiempo y formaMe gusto la interpretación de colores aunque los negros no son su fuerte

Easy to recommend, loving using it for photo color correction.

Great resolution for a 27" monitor. I use photoshop, very satisfied with the colors on the screen. The good reviews I read on Bolo are correct. I would like to point out some critical points:- It does not have USB C for display transfer, so no data transfer as will. I mean to say is you need to access your computer USB ports for everything, can't connect to the monitor.- The stand seems a bit out-fashioned.- When computer stops sending signals, it should go to sleep, but it turns the screen on and keep checking whether there is any active input. (there should have been an option to turn this off, or if there is any I did not find)- No options to change brightness, contrast from monitor OSD. So, I don't know what is exactly there in gaming 1, 2, 3 profiles! ;-)- Speakers are really okay-ish.These are just nitpicking. Overall, a good monitor. I am getting 2k resolution at 180 Hz using a USB C to Display port cable (should have provided in the box, but I had to buy separately).
