Mom has glaucoma and some spots of her eyes have already been laser-treated, so they are vision black holes. Overall vision is pretty bad. However, this wonderful clock with temp, date, and day of the week is awesome. Very pleased. Have had it several months now.

Does everything you could think or want it to do.Only runs on the power supply, batteries in the unit are for backup to keep time I guess? Came with batteries for remote and unit.Everything feels cheap and is cheaply designed, but it works and the features are there. The cord is hidden nice in the back and comes with an optional mounting device that makes it super easy to hang.My only real gripe is that it doesn't get DIM enough. You have levels of brightness and everything is easily controlled via the remote or you can turn the lights totally off but I want it on... And dimmer. It's also pretty big, bigger than I expected. I could use it a tad smaller. I didn't realize it does date and temperature alternating, but you can choose one or the other to remain static if you want. I was happy they thought of that. I'd say the design team thought of everything almost, except being able to go dimmer on the lights. I could also go without the words DST, DAY, DATE, and TEMP on the unit. It's obvious what the date, day, and temp are. We don't need more cluttering up a simple display, we need less.Only 4 stars because it's not able to go dimmer than it allows.

The clock is what we ordered in every way. However, if I was to purchase again, I would go with the white rather than the blue as I find the blue a little harder to read from distance.

The clock has good size, bright n all shiny colors, extra batteries are nice to keep the memory up. Night light under the clock is nice touch. Remote to control all the clock settings are very good, control size and buttons layout is good. Only the wire to the bar is little short otherwise all are in perfect shape and Color.
