The fact that I spend a significant amount of time standing at the countertops, either preparing food or going through supermarket bags, was the key factor that inspired me to do this. I believe that it was long overdue for me to have a cushioned mat to decrease the strain that was being placed on my feet; nevertheless, I was not quite prepared for how much of a difference it would make in the activities that I do on a daily basis. My rhythm of cooking was thrown off since I noticed myself taking more stops and resting my feet on a stool that was close before these mats came. This caused my rhythm to be broken. Now, I am much more comfortable standing for long periods of time, which enables me to maintain my concentration on tasks such as cleaning or preparing meals without experiencing the nagging weariness that I used to experience. My first order of business was to position one mat in front of the sink, and the second mat was placed next to the main countertop, which is where I conduct most of my chopping and mixing. At first appearance, the mats did not seem to be very thick; nevertheless, as soon as I actually walked across them, I immediately felt the difference in cushioning that exists between them. I believe that the shock absorption is one of the most important advantages; it helps to alleviate the pain that I get in my lower back and heels. In the event that I need to shift from one section of the counter to another, I also love the fact that I can use them to reposition myself by sliding them slightly. Nevertheless, I did not have a positive experience during my very first attempt: I came dangerously close to falling since I anticipated that the mat would have a different hold on the floor. Thankfully, after I understood how it functioned most effectively, I was able to arrange it in a steady position, and I never had another problem after that.

I love this mat! It doesn’t show dirt or hair. It also has a strong grip on the bottom, so it doesn’t move. We use ours by the door to walk out to the garage to catch dirt coming in, but it would also be great in a kitchen.

Mats are very nice and quite reasonably priced. My only complaint is the way they’re packaged. They’re folded up so tightly and sealed in plastic that the rubber backing is stretched. Then when unpackaged, the mats will not lay flat on the floor. They have creases and bubbles that are tripping hazards. Two of the three I ordered eventually flattened out, but I had to exchange one and I’m not sure the replacement is going to flatten out. I suggest rolling them for shipping instead of folding them.

Great kitchen floor mats. They’re a bit smaller in width than I expected, but it actually works for the space they’re in. Plus they’re non-slip and have a good amount of cushion to them. I also love that they’re washable and they can easily be vacuumed with my Dyson V8 Animal vacuum (some rugs pull easily and cause the vacuum to freeze, which then causes me to have to take them outside to be shaken out). Definitely recommend.

These thin (but not flimsy), low profile rugs lie flat, stay in place and protect high traffic areas of my wood floor. The cat can’t rip them apart like the cushy foam padded rugs these replaced. Seriously, no pulled yarn from vigorous cat scratching. Vacuum easily due to low nap. Arrived with no offensive odors. Haven’t washed them yet, but they will fit a front loading washer loosely rolled.

Well it looks nice. But it is definitely not thick or soft or cushioned. I read reviews that said it was very cushy. Not sure I will keep. Might try a pad to put under it. But then an extra cost. Basically dissatisfied

High quality runner rug. Nice neutral color. Large enough to cover the length of my kitchen counter. Looks beautiful in my home.

The kitchen mats fit perfectly in my kitchen. I purchased four of them. However, I washed them according to the directions, and on two of them the binding came loose on a significant portion of one side. One of them is not as slip resistant as I would have liked. I'm sure I can repair the loose binding, but I am disappointed.
