The sugar is all natural and no added sugar. What is so great you can take them with you and use them at your convenience. You only need two servings a day to help lower your cholesterol. Love STEP ONE foods! Been a loyal customer for a few years and decided to try these apple bars. They are delicious and so easy to travel with. Since starting Step One I have also gotten my cholesterol down.

I am trying to control my cholesterol naturally and for that reason I biught some of this products. I love apples and I thought I will like this but I did not even finish eating them. Did not taste that good to me.

Makes for a healthy, high quality, tasty snack. Goes great with low calorie beverage like almond milk. To me it tastes sort of like apple fruitcake.Keeps me regular but it really didn’t lower my cholesterol levels and I consumed these only twice daily as instructed along with diet and exercise. Finally had to go back on my cholesterol meds after the trial.These do have sugar ( supposedly just from fruit) , but no added sugar, so it might not be something you want to consume if you are trying to cut out sugar completely,I’m still buying these, but not as often, as I’ve switched to almonds and veggies for snacks some days.

This company is so wonderful! Very responsive if you have any issues. As far as the bars and shakes ect. There is not one that isn't tasty (in my opinion.) I especially love the chocolate walnut and crunch bars. The oatmeal is great for a grab and make at school and the smoothies are delicious with spinach and yogurt. My levels have gone down 30 pts. so far and I have lost 15 pounds!!! (family curse of high cholesterol) The company has changed my life and I will probably be a life long customer as I started over weight, low good cholesterol and high bad cholesterol and was on the road to statins as I have done all I could myself to turn things around with diet and exercise so I'm not going back to that person or unhealthy person ever again!

The company advertises that it was significantly bring cholesterol numbers down. I was on the product for one month faithfully and I just had my lab done and my numbers are worse than ever! My HDL dropped 50% down, which is really bad. My LDL was unchanged and my triglycerides were up about 20 points. Cholesterol was down about 20 points. My main concern is my LDL and HDL and I could not believe how bad the HDL is now. When I ordered this product, I felt like it was pricey, but I thought if it works, it would be worth it. In order to eat two bars a day as suggested, it cost almost $200 a month. Honestly, I was so disappointed especially because my numbers are worse now overall.

These are not as satisfying as the chocolate walnut bars. These are some what dry, and lack an apple flavor.
