See edit at bottom of reviewThis product seems like a fantastic idea, but at least this item in particular does not work as intended. I have two of these, I bought one in December of '23 around the time I purchased my new WEN DF875iX inverter generator. Since the included Wen hose & regulator uses a connector to connect directly to a propane bottle I bought an adapter kit to fit the change over kit. Found & fixed leaks then proceeded to start my generator, it wouldn't even start.Thinking it was the cheapo adapter kit, I bought a 1/8 Male NPT to 3/8 Male NPT to directly connect the change over kit to the hose & regulator, removing the connector that connects to the propane tank. Still did not allow my generator to start.Come May of '24 I bought a second change over kit thinking my original one is broken, attempted the same thing with the Male to Male NPT adapter, still would not start my generator. Even with both propane bottles open it restricted far too much flow to allow my generator to start.Perhaps this item will work with a lower power generator, but its not working for mine. The generator starts perfectly fine without the change over kit. Of course the regulator on the hose may be an issue, I do intend to test without it, but I can't imagine it'll help.I should also note, my original change over kit started leaking from one of the gauges. The new one also leaked briefly, but somehow seems to have corrected it self.Edit 5/23/24: I have retested this item with a stand-alone hose. I connected the output of the change over kit directly to the generator, no inline regulator (hose that came with the generator had an inline regulator), and it started second pull. I haven't load tested it, but I imagine I'll have no further issues.

The unit was easy to install. This replaced an old style unit with 12 inch hoses. The switch works well when I manually switch tanks. I have not used enough from the tank to have it automatically switch. The gauges are great upgrade from the previous regulator/hose unit. I can see when a tank is getting low and remove and refill it. The nylon tape supplied was a bonus when connecting to the existing hose connector.

I wish I read the reviews before I bought this. The lines started leaking from the inline gauges in less then 4 months of owning them. This is a waste of money get something else.

Unfortunately, I missed my return window for this regulator. One side of this regulator does not feed gas to anything connected to it. It also leaks on this site. I have not even used this regulator; this was all done while testing it in my driveway. I ended up purchasing a new unit. Some of the other reviews mention similar issues. Be wary and test this unit right away when you receive it. I can't give this more than 1 star.

I have not used enough from the tank to have it automatically switch. The gauges are great upgrade from the previous regulator/hose unit.
