Mine worked great, I use it a lot. I have a lot of trees and do a lot of trimming, some weeks filling 5 or 6 large yard waste containers. This tool makes it very easy to chop up the yard waste for disposal. The power is good enough to cut up fairly large branches.

I love this tool. Prune fruit trees and rose bushes. Easily lops off branches which are thicker than my thumb.

This pruner has made yard work so much easier. I like the way I can use the lever to release the trigger with one hand and get to pruning. My hand doesn't get sore as it was starting to do with regular pruning shears. I wear safety glasses when I use it in case a branch bounces back. It works just as well on both live and dead wood. Makes pruning easy as I only need one tool for both thinner and thicker branches.

The perfect product for people who have hand pain, arthritis, or weakness. This device cuts straight through limbs and other plants that would otherwise be difficult to cut with a manual pruner.

Purchased a cheaper brand 1/2 the cost of Black and Decker brand, when you use these you know what you are paying for. One of the reviews said it is heavy, solid build the safety feature is in the trigger very easy to use. Part 2 used it for about 3 hours this past weekend makes quick work of limbs

Genutzt haben wir es erstmalig am vergangenen Wochenende und festgestellt, dass1. das Gerät im Garten, speziell beim Verschneiden von Büschen und Bäumen die Arbeit stark erleichtert2. das Netzteil nicht zu den deutschen Steckdosen passt(leider ist der Termin für die Rücksendung bereits seit 10 Tagen verstrichen)Nun zum Gerät: liegt angenehm, nicht zu schwer in der Hand, sehr gutes Schnittergebnis (kein Ausfransen)

The Black & Decker 20 V battery electric pruner is the primary target of this review, but the following comments are also aimed at all of the 20 V cordless B & D equipment found on Bolo as experienced by this reviewer.Here at the tree farm home base, we started off our relationship with B & D cordless equipment many years ago with the purchase of a drill. A steady progression of additional acquisitions followed based on the perceived performance qualities of the products and the economies of scale offered by the same battery and charger used across the product line.At last count, we have 18 different tools and related equipment sharing the B & D 20 V cordless platform. Many are used (abused) far beyond normal reasonable boundaries due to the challenging micro environment maintaining 50 acres of forests. For example, the string trimmer is a featherweight usually destined for small yards typically found in today’s urban environments. We love this lightweight trimmer that enables all day use without the fatigue of heavier trimmers and routinely use these machines for trimming waste high, thick stem grass and weeds crowding out young tree seedlings.We just experienced our first B & D 20 V product failure, the electric pruner (currently priced at $149 at Bolo). Although this tool was 11 months old, it had probably endured the equivalent of 10 years of normal household use as a daily “go to” tool here at the tree farm. The limited warranty was 12 months and B & D folks responded the same day requesting photo identification of the failed drive gear and proof of purchase etc.An email the following day apologized for the problem and shared that a replacement unit was on its way. We had already purchased and received a replacement unit from Bolo, and will now have 2 available for eager users to use and enjoy. We are beyond pleased with the performance and ownership experience of this pruner and have much respect for the entire B & D 20 V cordless power tool product offerings.Conclusion: An overall product experience score of 5/5 is awarded accordingly, by this reviewer to this pruner, and all of the other B & D 20 V cordless tool family.

This works really well, and I've yet to find a branch that fits in the blade that it won't cut. Doing a lot of trimming of cedars out back, and there are lots of small-medium sized dead branches to remove, then reduce in size to fit in yard waste containers. These pruners make short work. They are heavier than hand powered clippers, so wrist can get tired, but forearm is spared multiple gripping motions. Two cautions: pay attention to holding hand to ensure blades don't take off a finger; and the lock mechanism keeps the trigger unlocked while the handle if gripped, so every touch of the trigger causes a cutting motion (see caution 1). Practice straightening your trigger finger after cutting to avoid accidentally cutting (don't hold your trigger finger over the trigger unless planning to shoot!)
