I am single and it makes just the right amount of ice cream. Unfortunately, if I buy ice cream it doesn't last because I eat it. So with this Dash Mug, I make about a cup of ice cream and that's it - I'm not eating a pint or a quart. I know what's in it and I can make whatever I want. I have been using a little cream, a little Torani syrup and some 2% milk. I have also used Carnation Breakfast Essentials mixed with the milk and cream. The more cream you use, the more creamy result. The directions say to run it for 20 minutes. I haven't done that yet. As soon as it looks like soft serve, I stop it and it's delicious. Having the two mugs is good because I can rotate them and have a very well chilled mug every day. Very happy with this purchase.

After reading several reviews of people only being able to make ice cream soup I was pretty skeptical of this product. But I figured it was worth risking the $20 to try it out since I love soft serve ice cream. The ice cream maker worked perfectly for me to make a simple vanilla ice cream with some chocolate chips mixed in. I ended up freezing the base for 3 full days and followed the vanilla recipe that came with the ice cream maker exactly. I added the ingredients after I started the machine and let it churn for about 25 minutes. It came out the perfect soft serve texture for me. It does melt very quickly if you don't eat it right away. You can also put it in the freezer for a harder texture which I ended up doing with half of it.I can't wait to try other flavors and frozen yogurt. The only thing I don't like about this machine so far is the hole to pour the ingredients is kind of small. So I'm not sure how a thick mixture like yogurt will get into the machine while it's spinning without making a mess. I guess I'll find out in a few days after the mug refreezes!

This ice cream maker appears to be made well. There is some noise but not loud. Manual has easy to follow instructions. I decided to try a protein shake instead of one of the suggested recipes. The shake is 11 oz, but I should have measured out 8 oz. The book mentions not to over fill. There was some splashing in the beginning, but not horrible. So after about 10 hours in the freezer and chilling the liquid I mixed it and waited. It seemed to only get to slushy consistency which is fine for me since I was experimenting. Got a call and had to set it in the freezer and it froze solid. I think it would work well with different things just have to do a little planning. Easy to clean and store. Like it.

This system works great! I have long wanted an ice cream maker for my home, but have hesitated due to appliance size, and difficulty in cleaning. When I came across this ice cream maker, I was skeptical. The process seemed too easy, the pieces of the system seemed too small, and clean up seemed too simple. But, for the low price, I figured it was worth a try. I am not disappointed! I am actually quite impressed! The maker came with a clear and simple booklet of instructions with recipes for multiple flavors of ice cream. When I follow the instructions as written, I am able to turn out a delicious, creamy ice cream that is full on flavor. It is a multi-step process that requires chilling the bowls in the freezer at least a day ahead of time. When it is ice cream making time, one bowl is removed from the freezer at a time, filled with ingredients, and churned for 20-25 minutes. The ice cream is ready to eat at this time, and will be the consistency of soft serve. For a firmer ice cream (my preference), the bowl goes back into the freezer for a couple of hours. I used to cover the bowls with plastic wrap, but have since invested a few dollars into an optional accessory for this system, silicone lids that fit over the bowls. The difference in taste between this homemade ice cream and store-bought is distinct! The cream and sugar in the homemade ice cream stands out in a wonderful way. Additionally, it takes just four ingredients to make the vanilla ice cream recipe: sugar, skim milk, heavy cream, and vanilla. The included recipe book also has dairy-free and vegan recipe options.

I got this ice cream maker as a birthday gift for my husband Joey, and we’ve used it constantly since. It’s easy to use, easy to clean, and the results are delicious every single time. We’ve already experimented with a few recipes — classic vanilla, strawberry, even a maple bourbon one — and everything has come out smooth and creamy.The motor is quiet, the parts feel sturdy, and the design is simple enough that we didn’t even need to overthink it. We just keep the bowl in the freezer and pull it out when inspiration (or a craving) hits.It’s become a fun little ritual for us, and honestly, I don’t think we’ll ever go back to store-bought pints. Highly recommend if you want to feel like a dessert wizard with minimal effort. A great value for the money!!

The best little ice cream maker that ever was. I used this to make dairy free ice cream cream and look at it!! It tastes as good as it looks!! It is super easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store. It’s small and compact and doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. The price is good. We good the double bowl one because we have 2 kids and it’s great. Hands down a summer fave!

It does take time. If you have the time it's worth it.

So annoying. Keeps stopping every 2/3 minutes. The machine is too hot for it to start again. When it starts again, it stops 2/3 minutes later again!

Bought as a gift to help with the reality of moving to a small town with no grocery store 😂. Works as described. Color was perfect. Individual portion size. Makes a nice SOFT serve type ice cream

Soft serve but sticks to mug

The media could not be loaded. It makes a soft serve ice cream. It does however super stick to the actually mug. And then it's stuck there until the mug starts to melt a bit...I tried to scrap it off but it scratch the inside of the mug. I found that I watched it more the second time around and it definitely didn't take 20 minutes like it says, takes less time, and the first round when I didn't watch it and set a timer it got hard chucks and it started chugging and getting stuck. So definitely watch it. But all in all it makes a good soft serve. Just sucks that it sticks so bad to the mug

My kids wanted a ninja creami… that wasn’t happening so they got this. They love it and have fun planning out what flavor is next. Was super impressed with ice cream quality! I have also recommended to others. Kids find it fun!
