I used a skin prep pad before applying this dressing. It adhered well with no damage to the skin around the wound. The dressings were a little expensive but easy to apply and absolutely worth the money!

These things have been a life saver!! I had a skin graft done last month and instead of using the cuticerin and gauze I bought these. It has made healing SO much better! Sticks really well, I change it about every 24 hours, give or take a few. I have bought like 3 boxes. Very happy with it!

Stiff pad does not flex to stay in place on wound. Unfortunately the human body is not a flat square. Buy Optifoam ...costs more but works better on curved surfaces.Update: first pad must have been a dud. Remainder have worked well but above is still true if you need flexibility.

I have had a visiting nurse for quite a few months tending to an open surgical wound and a removal of an area on the top of my foot that was gangrenous. This was the last to heal. I worked my way from 4x4 (and other bandages) to get to a 3x3. At that point I no longer needed the visiting wound nurse. I decided to order my own 3x3s since going through insurance would take too long. These bandages were the exact description of the Medline ones and were much less expensive. They have been working fine for a couple weeks now and hopefully I will no longer need them soon.

I had no idea it would be so hard to find a basic 2x2 adhesive bandage. I thought this was it, but when I opened the first one I realized that it wasn't an adhesive border- the adhesive covers the entire 2x2 surface; the absorbent gauze is sandwiched between the outer skin tone layer and the inner adhesive layer. There are little holes throughout the adhesive layer, which I guess would allow fluids to pass through so the gauze can serve its purpose, but I really didn't want glue on top of my open wound...
