Very nice metal model. Some of the parts like the landing gear will need glue to stay in place. There's mention of a pilot in the description but there is no pilot included. It does balance on the stand but it can be knocked off by a pet or child. Other than that it's perfect.

This is a great display model. It is heavy, solid, highly detailed, and is my favorite by far. I have a few 1/72 models of various air frames; this is the highest quality. It’s cool to see all of the airframes together in same scale, to see where we are and where we have been in aerospace.

I am not a serious collector so I do not know what to look for when purchasing these types of display memorobilia. That said, I am happy with my purchase. The size is great, it has a good solid weight, feel and detailed appearance. So for my needs it is perfect. Truth be told, the Black Friday pricing forced my hand.
Good solid construction but spoilt by a few minor cutbacks

Here the forward under courage needs some adhesive especially the door as it just drops offThe rear is fineALLso be WARNED THE PIN THAT GOES IN THE FRONT IS VERY SMALL & IN A VERY SMALL SEE THROUGH BAG MAKING IT Very Easy to miss & lose. It took me ten mimits to find mine but new it had to be there also you need some thick but fast setting glue to fit it properlyOtherwise a first class model.Top in my collectionI would give 5* if it wasn't for these faults

Well crafted , looks good. I have been looking for the SR -71 in a bigger size, and this was it. Price was to be expected. Overall I am happy with it.
Excellent attention to detail
The level of detail on this model is very impressive. My only issue with it is that the piece of plastic that you insert to simulate the front landing gear being up during flight is so loose that it doesn’t actually stay in place when the model is sitting on the display stand. Other than that I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a good diecast model of the SR-71
