I replaced it was the updated version but the plug was changed from a micro usb to a USB C plug. I bought this adapter so I could use the same wire feeding the old monitor because I didn't want to pull out the existing wire that already tucking into the headliner. Plugged this adapter in and the monitor promptly started to charge and has been doing so whenever the car is running.

Just what I needed. I have two electronic devices next to my bed. One is USB C, the other is Micro USB. So I threaded a short length of string through the convenient hole in the tab, and put it on my USB cable. So now I can recharge either device with only one cable, which is very convenient.

Yes like a lot of reviews stated, they are hard to get started. After e reading this I bought the set anyway in hopes it wasn't a defect. I found that with a little jiggling with the USB C they all fit snug but not too snug.The older style end was a bit more snug so I used a worn out mail end on a cable and jiggled a little more firmly and succeeded in having all 4 fit perfectly on newer cables. These are machine made at a very cheap price so a little persuasion may be needed. I only use them for charging purposes. For data I buy the cables that are made for data.

I got this so I didn't need to replace one of my power banks and it works great. It was easy to use and fits to the micro-USB perfectly.
