My 10-year-old absolutely loves it. The scooter is well-built and fun to ride. We also had a great experience with customer service—when we encountered an issue, Fiona responded promptly and resolved it quickly. Huge thanks to Fiona for the excellent support, and to GOTRAX for making such a great product!

My daughter purchased this scooter for a great price compared to others. Arrived working great but after a few months, she did have some issues with the handle bar. The customer service was on top of it and sent me the replacement part right away for free. Customer service sidereal was efficient

The range is not the greatest, the power is not the best, it struggles to get to 15mph, and does not do inclines or hills well at all if at all. The cruise controll is hard to manage and engages and disengages when you don't want it to. At 225$ new I returned it, the hover1 2.0 rode circles around this thing. The brakes are not very good, it is very light and compact and does seem to be well constructed although the latch system when folded was not very good and would not stay latched. Solid tires so no flats but the ride is harsh, really harsh, so I would only recommend if short trips on smooth flat surfaces is your plan of use.

I bought two, one for my husband and one for me to follow our son around town on his bike. My husband is 5'10 170lbs and I am 5'8 148lbs and they struggled to reach the claimed speed on flat smooth surfaces and the range we only reached 8.5km sadly we had to walk home once already. Hills were very bad and they were small hills, we had to kick all the up or they would almost completely stop. I don't want to write gotrax off because there is alot of great reviews on here and on YouTube. I would be willing to return these and spend the extra $$ to try the G4 scooters instead, I wanted to like these so bad but we're both pretty disappointed.Update: scooters are shipped for return and the Gotrax G4 scooters are being delivered today, will update review after riding for a bit! Hope they are awesome!2nd update lol - although the GXL v2 was not for us we returned them through Bolo and purchased the Gotrax G4 and oh my what a difference. Speed was perfect, great on hills and the range seems to be incredible. We went 9.5km before dropping a battery bar when the Gxl V2 would be completely dead at 8.5km please everyone spend the extra $$$ and get the Gotrax G4 you will not be disappointed!!!!!!

The media could not be loaded. Update 2:Company has been very responsive everytime I have contacted them about issues with the Scooter. All parts that needed to be replaced (full Scooter, both tires and back fender) they have sent along with how to videos. The Scooter once everything has been replaced has been great. I only hope there are no issues going forward.Update:After reaching our to the company they sent me a new battery which was not the issue and asked foe me to return the entire unit for a replacement. I was a but concerned as i had no guarantee I would get the replacement and if so would I have the same issue. VERY HAPPY to say the new Scooter works great. Customer support has made it a duty to reach out to ensure I was happy every step of the way and was told I have 90 days warranty from the date I received the new scooter. The Scooter in Working condition works great.Scooter was purchased for my 10yr old Son as a Christmas/Birthday gift. It is winter now so we obviously cannot use it in the snow. We had 1 nice day and took it out for a try. Battery was fully charged once we got back we tried to charge it and nothing. No red light on the charge box to show charging. Left it for a few hours just to see and nothing. Contacted GoTrax they asked for pictures and videos as proof. Fine all sent they said its the battery so sent us a new one. We replaced the battery once again took it out for an hour battery this time died sooner came back in and the same NOTHING. No Red light no charging. I emailed again sending videos yet again. Waited 72 hrs as auto email says for a response and nothing.finslly get an email saying ok maybe it is the console. We will send a label you return we will send a new Scooter. I instantly responded ok send the label. Also asking how long and where will product be shipped from as my eligible date for return to Bolo is running out and I cannot afford to lose both the Scooter and that amount of Money. It's now been 72 hrs and still no response. They are dragging the process out bc they have very short guarantee period. If it's dragged out I cannot get a refund from Bolo and they won't replace. I'm extremely disappointed. It's great quality runs nice and smooth but if I wanted a disposable item I would of bought $400 worth of Toilet paper. I should of listened to the bad reviews of similar happening to others. One poor family waited too long now they are out of both. Spend the little extra but DO NOT BUT THIS ITEM. Unless you can afford to use it as a centre pc in your living room.SAD

Unfolding is IMPOSSIBLE and that is just the beginning.

UPDATE (2025) AFTER HAVING FOR A FULL YEAR:The brakes are a nightmare! They catch with the slightest pressure. I have adjusted them many times but unable to solve this problem. My son has learned to pump the brakes as if it were an ABS. Otherwise you can easily going flying over the handles. But this isn't even the worst part.The tires require 50PSI. The scooter is sold with a small extension to place onto the tire valve. Unfortunately the extension does NOT have a valve of its own. Hence, when installed on the scooter the air rushes out of the tire instantly. To inflate the tire I must pump to 70PSI and get me son to stand on the pump as I very quickly unscrew the extension.The engineer that designed this product should have to undergo remediation training. Very sad that this is a Canadian product.My son was super excited to get this for the Holidays. Unfortunately the very first step in the unboxing was impossible. To unfold the scooter you must depress the rear fender to allow the hook to unlatch. Two set screws allow for adjustment. Too bad that the factory had adjusted these in the perfect position to completely prevent the scooter for unfolding. I had to watch several YouTube videos on the subject to figure out a solution to unfolding the mast. The mere fact that several YouTube videos on this very subject exist should have been a warning! Surely the company (Canadian no less!) should be aware that their product is being shipped in such a way as to make unfolding impossible. I tried to call them with the included phone number, but after the 30min wait I figured out a work around.Of the many products on the market in this price range I chose this one in particular because it is apparently a Canadian company. Maybe they should have somebody stationed in China to ensure quality control. Needless to say I can't recommend this product, especially if you are expecting to fold and unfold the scooter regularly.

Battery life could be improved
