No complaints about this from my power chewer dogs. The XL is a thick enough size that they aren't breaking off any sharp points to antlers with this one.I will mention that I think when it comes to sizing, it seems the difference in size is actually just that they get wider, not really longer. I have smaller antler chews that are just as long as this XL, but are from thinner sections of an antler. If you are looking for a much longer and bigger antler, you'll likely need to search the jumbo size. I have one of those and it's massive. Over twice as long and 3 times as thick as the XL in these.

At first, the price seems kind of high, but when you compare the price of two or three smaller antlers, this is still a good value. The size is large so I expect it to last a long time. This is very substantial and good for larger dogs (I'd say anything larger than 35 lbs on up). Having bought many antlers over the years, I find dogs sometimes take to them right away and other times just ignore them. This one has interested our dogs but they haven't been going at it non-stop. I most like the size as it it substantial and solid. I typically get antlers maybe 1/3 this size, and after considering what three smaller ones would cost, this is actually a decent value. If it last 4 or more months with our fairly aggressive chewer, and I expect it will last longer than that, then I will be very happy. If you are looking for high quality antler, then I do recommend this one. The value is good (much better than anything I've seen in small or large store) and the quality appears good (it's heavy and large).

The media could not be loaded. My dog loves this antler! Yes it says 44-66 lbs and my boy is 103lbs but he was supervised the whole time he had it. First he sucked on it, then started to chew it. He hollowed out the middle and ate quite a bit of the marrow. It kept him occupied for over 3 hrs. We finally snuck it away from him so he can play with it another day. I wish I could make them last longer, but he loves it and wont give it up without some trickery! The only thing I didn't care for was it kinda makes a mess on his bed. But that's because I'm the one who has to wash it when he's done. ...

Clean and fresh and nice cut. Reasonable size size the price at about 5”. Cute packaging and great instructions and cautions.I can’t give it a “flavor” star rating as I haven’t tasted it just yet :)Antlers seem expensive but last a very long time. Sometimes weeks or months.We had a Shiba Inu who loved to chew and loved deer antlers both found and purchased.When she was about 4, she broke a molar on the antler and we were shocked. The vet said she was a hard chewer - which she was - but we had no idea.I was pleased to see that the maker added a caution about this on the product label.I still think antlers are great but they’re not for all dogs.We haven’t gone back yet; our current pup loves bully sticks which are also expensive and don’t last nearly as long. If and when we do go back to deer antlers, I would not hesitate to use this brand.If your dog is small and good with antlers, I think this is a good choice from what appears to be a responsible supplier.
