My Hayward was old and not working. The Pentair was less than half the price of the Hayward and works great. It was a good buy and I recommend it.

piece of expensive GARBAGE. it never worked and unfortunately I was dealing with health problems so I wasn't aware that it wasn't working until last week I asked my pool person and she said "nope its never worked but I didn't want to stress you with another problem" so great!! I spent a couple hundred on a HUNK OF PLASTIC TRASH!I'm pretty sure it was a used item that Bolo sent me (I've noticed Bolo does that quite often). My advice unless you have $200 to throw away dont bother buying from Bolo because you're taking a chance on a broken return that was someone else's problem!!

I just purchased the Rebel here on 4/20/25 for $200.00. This replaced the same one that came with my new pool in 2021. Note this Rebel head only part comes without a manual. Boo. Here is the history of my last one. Mine is used 4 hours a day every day of the year. Your mileage may vary1. Year one, worked perfect.2. Year 2/3, left and right drive parts and wheels needed replacement when it runs in circles, slowly etc. When replaced it runs perfect again. Purchased Pentair #360517 Wheel & Drive Kit for $125.003. Year 4, Rebel running oddly. See, Pentair sells 60% of the parts available for the Rebel. The other 40% (gears, turbine cam etc.) are either not sold or not available anywhere or sold out. Perhaps by design by Pentair?So the true cost for a running my Rebel for 4-5 years is $200.00 for a new Rebel plus another $125.00 for the Wheel/Drive kit. After year 4 or 5, time to buy a new one.

The vacuum itself is pretty good has great suction, no jokes. It is also almost half the price as the original Pentair that came with my system. My issue is with the gears that has inside when it’s against the wall it’ll do a 360 and go back against the wall. It won’t do a 180 to go back into the middle of the pool. Every time I look, it’s always against the wall.
