This is the 3rd one of these Ive had. I love this board! The first one I used for almost 2 years, and wore the tires out. It was awesome!!! I contacted customer support and Brigitte hooked me up with a whole new rear motor system , trucks, motors and tires for 70$ ! I did not put them on until I totally trashed the old tires. Unfortunately the 1rst board stopped turning on a couple months back. I set it down rather hard before a ride, it beeped like it was on, and then went off. So it probably a bad solder joint which I will try and remedy in the near future.So I ordered another ft009 a couple months back. It was 186 $ which had me scratching my head, turns out the grip tape logo was on the wrong way. No biggie. I could not for the life of me get it to change speeds. So I sent it back, and ordered another for 208$, thinking maybe I got a lemon. Turns out I could not get it out of 1rst speed either, for 2 weeks !!! Then by random accident I got it into 3rd speed and left it there. It took me THREE WEEKS for figure out the trick. On the old board you pushed the speed button a long push to change speeds. On the new board you must push the speed button quickly. If you hold it or push hard it does nothing. The reason for this is the old board had a LING YI ESC. The new board has an ALADDIN ESC. And this is why I gave the first ft009 5 stars and the new one 4. The LING YI is a better ESC. Much smoother and therefore safer. The new esc has an abrupt acceleration curve that has too much torque in speeds 3 and 4. Takes off fast, and you must be very cautious at first especially or it will throw you off. The controller is very touchy, have to feather your operation of it. Still I do love the board, you can do VERY tight carves and circles with a 10 or 15 foot radius !!! Try that on a longboard ! I use this when I walk my dog, I let him run free at the park when its deserted. I can trun around fast and grab him when he falls behind.As A side note, I looked high and low for a replacement LING YI esc for my first board. Its a 24 volt board and the battery is a 6s2p. I did finally find one from china at the walmart online, its arriving soon. Can't wait to compare the two ft009s with different escs! A great board! The media could not be loaded. Waited around a month or 2 to review but this is reliable, good quality Expecially for its price. Battery quality is as expected and you need to charge after every time riding but that's ok. It exceeded my expectations and is quite durable. I plan to upgrade but this is the best first electric longboard you could get in my opinion.

I've had the board for about 2 weeks now and probably have 20 miles of usage. I charge it at least every 2 days. It's a good intro board. Website shows 200+ weight limit, but i'm over the manual's weight limit for it (150lb). Don't expect it to work well if you're 200lbs. I use it daily to walk/run my small terrier dog. Here's a quick run down.Pros:Cheap (buck twenty is cheapest I've seen)Large wheels for the priceSmooth acceleration and brakingPush to start (no need to manuall power on skateboard)LightweightCons:Specs incorrect and inconsistent on Bolo page1 wheel missing washerWheels aren't lubricated wellNo supportNo replacement partsShorter range than expectedThe first thing I noticed was one of the wheels was making a lot of noise. It was one of the regular wheels and on closer inspection I noticed a washer was missing. Adding my own washer has helped with the noise, but not completely. I'm guessing the bearings aren't greased well and the wheels don't spin freely. After a few days of usage I noticed the battery/electronics cover was bulging. I'm not sure if it was bulging when I first removed it from the box. I removed the cover and it looks like the battery and electronics are fine, no expansion of the batteries. After about 10 miles of riding, the PU on the motor wheel has cracked from 1/5th of the wheel. I've looked for replacement parts since the manufacturer doesn't respond to any emails and doesn't have a website and I haven't been able to find any information. There aren't 74mm wheels or motors. The ECU doesn't have any identification. The remote is generic and should be easily replaceable. Battery looks to be 8x18650 3.7vbatteries.If you buy this, treat it as a disposable product. I bought this skateboard and I only road it 3 times... I tried to charge it up but it won't charge... It would only go for 2 to 3.5 miles max whenever I fully charged it... Need a refund or something.

I got it to commute around my college campus and it is definitely worth it. It’s battery gets me through the entire day on a single charge and it packs a good amount of power, very speedy and portable.

Our daughters caught on fire in our living room at 6am ! I do not recommend to anyone !! Now I'm out of $190, thank God our family was Okay and our house, minus the curtains.
