So I decided to make all natural insect repellent candles with soy wax. I found this deal for wax and wicks and thought this is perfect until I read some of the reviews…I decided to give it a shot anyways. After making 18 candles and burning one as a tester I decided to write a review.I used a pot of water and stainless steel bowl to melt the wax which melted beautifully and clear. I added a small amount of mica dust and alcohol ink along with essential oils after I removed it from the heat. Everything blended smoothly and even. I used the wicks holding them down with the provided sticky dots and started to pour. I did find the sticky dots didn’t really hold the wicks down so using a turkey baster and put a small amount of wax around each wick allowing it to harden a bit to hold them in place. Then I poured the rest of each candle and loved the end result. The next day I tested one to make sure it would light, stay lit and not produce a weird smell or funky smoke which it didn’t! When I decided to add mica for a little sparkle I read a lot of people had issues with the wicks getting clogged and not lighting but chose to do it anyways and have no problems. The wax has the cutest sparkle and smell!I’m extremely happy with this wax and will definitely use it again!

This wax is amazing! Great value, you really get a ton of wax for your money. Also, all the candles I've made with this wax burn FOREVER. I seriously lit a 4-oz candle that was in a cup very early in the morning before the sun came u,p and the candle lasted until nearly midnight. WOW! I highly recommend this wax. I will certainly be buying some more when this runs out, but there is really ALOT.

Been using for awhile. I like to mix my waxes with a paraffin being that it doesn’t set well by itself. Helps with the scent hot/cold throw of the candle. Love that it comes with extras in the box. I always use the wicks and wick holders.

Perfect candle making starter kit. I used this with my friends and we made so many candles. It’s so easy to use and the wicks work as they should. Great price as well, I will buy again when I run out.

Good buy for 10# wax, 100 wicks already seated in metal stands, but the sticky tabs don’t always work right.I make citronella candles for camping using 3oz/84g cat food cans. I wash them out, soak in bleach water to kill the food scent, and let dry. The double stick tabs don’t always stay attached to the can bottom. My best results for wick positioning comes from using hot glue under the little metal wick holder (do this before pouring in hot candle wax).

Excelente calidad, se hacen velas muy bonitas, me hubiese gustado que las instrucciones fueran más claras, pero si ya más o menos sabes algo de velas, es sencillo manejarla

This candle making kit includes enough wax to make 2 medium-sized candles or 3 small candles. There are enough wicks though to make quite a bit more. I really liked the metal pitcher and long spoon. I did have to find my own tins, so it would have been nice to have a couple included. Also, since this is a starter kit, maybe some instructions would have been helpful. All in all though, it is a decent price.
