This did a better job covering my gray than any other semi-permanent hair color, mask or gloss. My next best favorite is DP Hue, but IGK mask in Brown Bella matches my natural hair color and is very natural looking. With DP Hue, dark brown is too blue and medium brown is too golden.I add a dash of baking soda to the mask, then apply to dry hair, and put on a foil lined heat trapping cap to make the color penetrate my gray hair better. Then I shampoo, rinse with water and atouch of vinegar, then condition. It still takes more than one application to make my white roots dark brown, but it eventually does completely cover my nearly 100% gray areas.I like that I can just apply to certain spots, and that it doesn't have peroxide or ammonia. My hair is super-soft and bouncy after I use it.Edit to add: The IGK just didn't last long enough. I like the color brown, but wish it was a bit warmer. DP Hue's medium is too warm and their dark brown is too blue. Larely I mix DP Hue medium brown and IGK Brown Bella in my palm and apply with my gloved fingers to my dry roots. Thenn I put on a iinsulated shower cap for 30 minutes. Then I shampoo with Plantur Browns shampoo. I no longer add bakiing soda. I do that every 10 days or every 3rd to 4th shampoo and it works well for me. My hair is very healthy. Some gray is visible, but I am 100% gray in some areas and I am a senior, so I don't mind some gray, I just can't deal with my naturally white hair.

I put IGK Bella Brown on my hair dry for only 5 mins. Brassy to Bella! Bonus, my hair feels so soft and shiny afterwards. The scent is good- clean and sweet. The texture is thicker, not runny. The violet undertones help eliminate the brass. This is my second bottle. A little goes a long way. Did not stain my hands after washing right away. In the video area, I have a short clip of my process. Hope this helps you decide!

I used to permanently dye my hair shades of copper and red and decided to quit permanent dyes about 3 years ago.My ends are still copper but roots are grayish. I tried this color depositing mask and prefer the color over other top orange color deposit masks. This one is a nice tone for me and blended my roots very well. The only caveat is it’s hard to get it to stick to roots/virgin hair and hard not to overtone the ends.I’m experimenting with different techniques to get the outcome I want which is basically root refresh with no permanent dye or bleach.So far what’s worked best for me is to wash hair with clarifying shampoo and really scrub my roots, then step out of the shower and towel dry and comb my hair. I put a deep conditioner on the ends to keep it from sucking in too much color. Then put on gloves (important if you don’t want orange hands and nails). Using a color brush I applied to the roots down a few inches. Comb thru and let sit at least 30 mins. Then rinse.It looks great but it does stain the scalp and it washes off the roots in 1-3 washes unfortunatelyGood product with a nice copper tone that is not too orange or too red. Will repurchase

Almost everything IGK makes, I love. This is no exception. This leaves your hair dripping in the most amazing softness and hydration not to mention the RICHEST color. I use it on wet hair in the shower as my conditioner. I leave it on for 5 minutes. My grays are blended, my hair is conditioned without being weighed down, and I look like I just had a fresh salon gloss. 10/10. Obsessed. It's COOL, I hate when I use something for brunettes and it pulls red or warm. This does none of that. The color will also fade after the second shampoo... so if you leave it on too long and it gets too dark, it will immediately lighten up again after shampooing. I'm a light/med. brunette... between a level 6-7. If you hair is highlighted this just tones them, it doesn't cover them up. If you have gray, it will blend them. If you want it to be darker, leave it on longer. If you just want a nice little color refresh, use it in the shower on wet hair. It smells great, it hydrates and does what it's supposed to do and then some.

I died my hair a shade similar to this, and used it to help blend my darker roots, as well as revitalize color around 2-3 weeks after I got my hair done. I love the way it blended my roots in, and the tone it gave me! I didn’t use gloves or anything and it stained my hands at first, but was pretty much gone within 12 hours. A lot rinsed out in my first rinse, but didn’t bleed anywhere after, even on my white pillow. I do feel like it was somewhat nourishing to my hair, it definitely didn’t dry it out or damage my curls! I will use it again.

So.. recently I have gone through a $300 highlights in salon that ended up not doing ANY blending 😪 after only 2 weeks I realised just how bad of a work was done (going for correction in a week time to see if they can fix it). But in a meantime I was looking for something to even out my hair tone. And this cali cali mask turned out just great! It gave this perfect “strawberry blond” shade that blended in my bleached blonde into my own dirty blonde roots.I have not washed it yet, so will be able to give an update after. I did application on dry hair for 15 minutes, and since my hair is rather thick, I think I used about 80% of the package. Will see if I can maintain the color through wet hair application.Update: adding one more photo after the first wash. Color became lighter, I have seen it being washed away in the bathtub, but enough remained to blend in my roots. I think during my next wash I will need to use the remaining product to maintain the color. I hope wet application would make the next tube of mask to last longer.

While I absolutely loved the color and how it made my hair feel, it only stayed vibrant for about 3 washes.Also something to note, I used on my mom’s hair and it didn’t help with her grey hair at all! I can imagine using this the day before a wedding that I’m a bridesmaid in, but if you’re looking for something that lasts even just a little longer I’d go with another product. Like I said it’s super great and easy to use but only for “big day” type scenarios!

Wonderful honey glaze
I love this. Replace your conditioner once a week and end up with beautiful honey blonde hair. My hair is highlighted and the highlights take very well.
Best mask I’ve used so far
I’ve used plenty of name brand copper masks - this by far is the best hands down !! And it’s not drying versus other brands. 10/10
Too expensive for duration of colour
Colour is soooo nice. But used more than half the bottle for my shoulder length hair and colour lasted 3 washes. Not a good value in my opinion.
Great Color and easy to use
I haven't colored my hair in 3 years and am naturally strawberry blonde, bought this after reading the reviews and not disappointed! Left in for a 5 minute test and change was subtle but definitely noticeable. Left on for 15 minutes and looks like I went for a full salon colour! Will definitely be repurchasing!
