I had been looking forever to find a gel pen that felt good to hold, didn't smear (dried quickly), and didn't bleed through the paper as I like to journal with them and use regular lined paper. I did try several different brands, but due to my hands having issues (mostly going numb from holding regular pens) I also needed a thicker pen.This pen does it all. I don't have issues holding it, and journaling for hours (I know, I'm weird, but it's okay). The dark colors don't bleed through at all like with other brands, as those are the colors you usually have to watch out for. In fact, NONE of the colors bleed through.I love that there are so many colors to choose from, and they write so smoothly. I can choose a different color for each day, and my journal is now very colorful.These pens dry in seconds, SERIOUSLY!!! I was super impressed with this. Depending on how you are holding the pen of course will depend on how much ink comes out at once. If you are sitting with your writing at an angle where the pen is in a more "laying down" fashion while writing, less ink comes out. If your writing is flat, like on a table or desk, more ink will come out. That is the one where it does take a few seconds longer to "dry", but it's really only a few extra seconds, and it doesn't bleed through.These pens seem to last FOREVER, but I only journal with them, and use a different color for each day. I had gotten an 8 pack from our local store, and I STILL have some of the colors from it. I did splurge on this larger pack, as I really wanted all those pretty colors to play around with in my journal.The ONE con, if you have them in your pocket, some of the color does bleed out onto your clothes, so keep that in mind if you want to do that. I usually just put 1 or 2 colors in my purse laying on their side, as so far, they haven't bled onto my purse that way. So, as long as they are laying on their side, they haven't bled onto anything. I can also put them point down in a jar, and they haven't bled out that way either. Just seems to be with fabric that there is an issue, point down.All in all, you WILL NOT be disappointed with these pens. They are worth the money spent on them. Quality product 100% in my book and will purchase them again. I even gave one to my mom as a gift and she is picking up her own as she too loves them. These are great for everyday use, even if it's just to make up your "to-do" list, and now it can be colorful and more fun to look at, as well as a grocery list.

But they are worth the price. Every color is distinct and different. They write on all kinds of paper, thin thick, medium thick like receipt paper. They’re just the right amount of heaviness so that you feel like depends in your hand that you’re not breaking it and the annoying and lovely part is. Every single color is different. There are no repeat colors even though the reds are close. They’re completely different same with the purples and the pinks so I would say pay the price get the pens

I knew what to expect regarding the pen itself. I am always seeking the best pen to write with because I prefer pen and paper for rough drafts. EnerGel has been my pen of choice for years. I purchased this pack for 3 reasons: EnerGel, great price, and several new, amazing colors! No idea what I'll use the yellow pen on, but all of the others are instant hits with me. Smooth writing, relatively quick drying for gel pens, and no bleeding, rare spotting. This is a pen I literally never loan.

I just adore Pentel Energel pens and I've been ordering them for years, usually keeping myself stocked with blue, black, and violet. For fun, I splurged on this 14-pen set called "Show Your True Colors." Nothing on the box tells you which colors you are getting, so I have taken photos and labeled them with my best guess and in some cases my own terms for describing the colors, in case you are interested.The YELLOW is a nice bright color, not murky, but I am not sure what use I might find for it.The DARK GREEN is very dark and classy and I can imagine that these might be enjoyed as signature pens for business people who like green, but who cannot dare presenting their signature with a frivolous or unprofessional ink color. It's so dark that other people might not notice that the ink is green or they might jusy think it is black.The LIME GREEN is bright and fun.The REGULAR BLUE is the standard bright blue color that we see all the time, a perfect daily user color.The NAVY BLUE ink, like the dark green, is quite dark, almost a blackish color. Other people might not necessarily notice that it is blue if they are not paying attention or in a well lit space.The TURQUOISE BLUE is basically a vivid teal color.The DARKER VIOLET ink (my term for the color) is really not purple at all, but actually a fabulous, gorgeous medium periwinkle blue. The barrel of the pen does indeed look purple, but the ink reads as a periwinkle blue. If Pentel would sell 12 packs of this great color, I would buy these to keep lots in stock! (Are you listening, Pentel?)-The MAGENTA color is a dark pink.-The RED is a bright red that is tilted toward orange.-The color that I think is probably CORAL PINK could be Pentel's regular ORANGE, but I am just not sure. The barrel of the pen is a warmer coral pink and not a super Halloween type orange, so that's why I'm calling it Coral Pink. Thr ink color seems to be just a regular orange, not obviously pinkish, but maybe this is just my evening lighting faking me out.BROWN is a warm reddish brown.SEPIA is a greyer or more taupe-tilted brown, quite nice.BLACK is their regular black, which we see all the time.

I really like the mix of colors in the set. it makes journaling or filling in my calendar very organized and enjoyable. the ink is smooth and easy to write with.

These have been my favorite pens for a long time. I’ve always wanted this set but it is normally pretty expensive. I got them on sale and I am so glad I got them. There are so many fun colors! They are comfortable, durable, perform well and have a nice flow. I’m left handed so they do smear a little bit but only when I’m in a hurry and prone to make careless mistakes.

I use to not be a fan of Energel. Coworkers loved them. So after a few years, I am trying again. They are great!! Writes well, no smear, quickly dries, bold colors.

The range of colours is fantastic!! I love these pens. They were a little bit more to purchase but they aren’t readily available in any stores near me so I do not regret buying them. They are typical Energels-colours are juicy and smooth
Smooth flowing
I have used this brand for many years and the flow is smooth and ceaseless until the pen is empty. Many people who have tried the pen have asked where to get them. Great that they are easily available through Bolo now.
