I thought these would be a great addition to the recessed lights in my office. I work from home 100% of the time and wanted something I could adjust the lighting when needed, plus I like to play around when I'm in remote meetings. Unlike most things I purchase, I didn't really do my research; I just thought these would work in 4" recessed can light; while they did fit and function, they left a gap around the parameter of the lights that I didn't like. I didn't realize that Philips made Hue lights specifically for 4" recessed cans (those are in a different review). Because I have these lights all over my house and love the quality and the light effects they produce, I didn't return these, but instead, I boxed them back up for a future project I have. I highly recommend Hue, they are a little more expensive, but you get what you pay for. These lights are excellent quality and long-lasting, and the colors don't fade.

I started with Hue lights early on. Have always loved them. They are bit pricey in general, but they work well with my alexa. I love being able to preset different color mood light settings and change them super easily.

The media could not be loaded. I wanted to replace my old bulbs with that annoying yellow color in my bathroom. These new lights are definitely a game changer. I can pretty much change the color to any I want using my phone. The Hue app is super easy to manage them and separate each bulb specifically. The only issue I have is when the lights turn on, they sometimes resort back to their normal Amber color. However, it happens rarely. I just turn them off and on again. Super happy I bought them.

I love love LOVE Philip Hue bulbs and this 4 pack has brought my home up to a modest 14 colored bulbs! When used as part of a routine, they turn on when I want them to, to the color I want them at and at the brightness designated! They can come on automatically at sunset and ramp up brightness over a designated amount of time. You can use formulas to have the bulb cycle through colors and my daughters love to use them to set a mood in their rooms.This version is probably the brightests ones I’ve bought from Philip’s and I use them for my home office. When I’m done for the day, they automatically dim and shut off 10 minutes after I go to bed!! As I stated earlier, I LOVE these bulbs!

I'm totally blind. I got some more of these to add to my Smart house. I picked up a pack of 4 to add to my ceiling fan in my home office. I got all of them added to my Echo 2nd gen plus. I'm guessing these are connected by Zigbee being the 2nd gen plus supports that. With the old Philips Hue bulbs, you could tell by the name if it was connected by Bluetooth or Zigbee. Initially when adding these, I forgot to turn off some of my Echo's so had to re-add them being the bulbs didn't connect to the Echo I wanted and I knew those whir connected by Bluetooth and I didn't want that. So had to remove and add them back. Made sure the lights whir on, deleted them out of the Alexa App and then turned off all Echo's accept for the old Echo 2ng gen plus that I have all my Zigbee devices connected to. When I got them added back, they all showed that they whir connected to the Echo I wanted.These show up as anSignify Netherlands b.v. smart Deviceand not a Philips Hue Smart Device.Can you get lower priced bulbs? The answer is Yes. But lower priced bulbs don't last as long, aren't Zigbee and Bluetooth. If you connect bulbs up by Bluetooth, they will be hit and miss as far as when they work if you use an Echo. If you do get lower priced bulbs like that are Wi-Fi, you will be limited on Range and they probably will respond slower if using an Echo.I plan on adding more Zigbee bulbs to my house to finish making all the stuff smart and controlable by Alexa. I currently have over 40 devices connected to one Echo 2nd gen plus and that is only using one Wi-Fi connection and all devices respond great.

Like many others, I tried to cheaper bulbs. IKEA and a number of AliExpress brands. At the end of the day, the only bulbs that consistently stay connected to Home Assistant and do exactly what they are told are the Phillips Hue bulbs.

I don’t like how much these bulbs cost, but they are by far the most user-friendly and well integrated of any of the Wi-Fi compatible lights I have used. This pack is the cheapest way I have found to buy them, even more, so if they happen to be on sale. They offer great levels of brightness and have plenty of customization options in the app that can be controlled on a smart device, virtual assistant, or physical remote switch.

Pretty easy to replace bulbs, and easy to select and program. We set exterior to come on 30 min before sunset and go off 30 min after sunrise. Done. We can easily change for holidays or events. Adds tons of class. Looking to add more Phillips Hue!
