I’ve got a nail grinder, which he doesn’t like at all, so once his nails got away from me, the thought of grinding them down was daunting. On a whim I ordered these nail clippers. Honestly thinking there’s no way he’s going to hold still enough for me to cut his nails on my own. Happy to say, I was wrong! These clippers are fantastic. Nice and heavy. Great quality, and they handled Jake’s very thick, very tough nails, with no trouble. The light is such very helpful. On the light colored nails you can clearly see the quick. On his light and dark mixed color nails, I could identify the shadow of the quick. On black nails, nothing will illuminate the quick, but at least from the lighter color nails, I was able to get a good general idea of how much I could cut.Tomorrow I’m going to use the grinder and smooth them out a bit. The clippers were supposed to come with a nail file, which was not in the box, but honestly I couldn’t care less. I don’t hear Jake “Click Clacking” on the wood floors anymore, so they’re worth every Penny!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Excellent for my French bulldog. I struggle with cutting his nails... He's honestly kind of a jerk about it, but the light on this and the size is great. I am able to see his inner nail wick, and have not had an accident of cutting too deep since purchasing them. I find I take the guard out of the way and use them backwards a lot.... something to consider. the guard doesn't really help.... but the light on this is a game changer.

Pretty good, not fantastic. They are nice and sharp, clip my dog’s nails really well. The light is a HUGE help to see where I souls and shouldn’t cut. I’m terrified of hurting her so that light is a game changer! She has some dark nails that obviously are harder to see through even with the light but if you look closely, you can still get a good idea of what you’re doing. The white nails are easy peasy. That was the biggest selling point for me and my favorite feature! After only 5 uses the little button that holds the clippers closed when not in use fell off so now they have to go in the drawer open; that was a little annoying. The nail file is decent, but not very rough so it takes longer than it probably should to do some filing. Long enough that my dog gets really annoyed and doesn’t want to let me finish. But they are easy to use, easy to squeeze, and a good product. I have a bad wrist and even with that, squeezing the clippers isn’t difficult at all. Cleaning is a quick rinse. I haven’t used them enough to see if that will cause rust in the future though. The grip is also really nice and comfortable. The battery cover for the light comes off a little too easily for my taste and I worry that, down the road, that might start falling off too. If the button and file were better I’d give it a full 5 stars.

I received these today and they are so easy to use! I was so worried about getting into our 10 month old German Shepherd's quick, but the light made it so easy and made me feel so much better about what I was doing! They also have a guide blade on them that stops you from going too deep. On a couple nails I actually had to take an extra snip but the guide blade helped me to take a little at a time. Our GSD handled it well, (with the help from some cheese), and I am very happy with my purchase!

There legit. Never know wat your gona get when buying cheap but these are the truth. The light works even on dark nails. My golden retriever has black nails. It was still hard to see the quick but it's better than just guessing.

These fell apart upon taking it out of the package. Once I figured out how to put it back together, it did work, but I’m probably just going to purchase a different brand.

The LED light is a game changer, it lights up the nail so you can see the vein, no more worries about cutting too far. Took care of my Husky in 5 minutes, cutters are beefy and worked fast. Definitely recommend.

Easy to use. Nail guard to stop you removing too much.
Why pay extortionate prices to trim your pets nails. Good quality and easy and safe to use. The clippers come with a built in guard to stop you taking too much off. Also a built in light so you can see what you’re doing. If you want to save money… then buy one Aldo it yourself.

Very awkward Very hard to use as you can’t see around casing that holds battery for light, which is actually so small it is useless. Not sharp either.Cut my dogs claw too short for the first time in 10 years causing her to bleed and obviously hurt her she will now not let me near her nails🥴

These are great. Super sharp, making nice clean cuts. The light is nice and bright and really helps you get the job done quickly and effectively.

Pro's: Nice and sharp, comfortable to hold, non-slip handles, guard to help prevent over-cutting, although this is not fool-proof and care needs to be taken. Light is useful.Con's: Light is useful, but it doesn't shine through black claws, so care needs to be taken, as it would with any cutter.I would buy again, and I would recommend to other buyers.
